SUPREME LAW.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:2

The one who makes a law determines the power and influence of that law. A law passed by the Parliament or Assembly of state has jurisdiction within that state. The sovereignty of a nation gives her the right to make her laws.
Notwithstanding, all humans are subjected to the laws of nature which by themselves may be limited in one situation or the other.

Behind every law (the letter) is a purpose (the spirit).
You are subjected to the letter by the power of the spirit. The strength of the spirit determines the effect of the law.

You are subjected to the laws of the spirit of sin and death if you do not have Christ in your life as Lord and Saviour. In Christ, you are under the power and authority of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. This is your victory in Christ. The Spirit of God bears witness with the Word of God to direct your life into a victorious end.
The law of the Spirit of life is a superior law to the law of sin and death because of Christ's victory over sin and death. Jesus lived a sinless life and died in your place under the law of sin and death and by His resurrection enacted a superior law, the law of the Spirit of Life. In Christ Jesus you live under the law of the Spirit of Life which has overcome the law of sin and death; you are therefore an overcoming person as you live under the promise and principles of the new life in Christ.
In Christ you are more than a conqueror, you have the benefit of His victory over sin and death, you are a candidate for eternal life.
You can make it in this walk of faith if you submit your will to Christ. This is your confidence of victory.

DIVINE EXTENSION.

`Turn back, and thou hast said unto Hezekiah, leader of My people: Thus said Jehovah, God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tear, lo, I give healing to thee, .............and I have added to thy days fifteen years,...........
2 Kings 20: 5 - 6

Are you downhearted because you hear of an end to a good course? Have you received any news that what you cherish is coming to an end? Have you considered something as lost simply because time is not on your side? Time belongs to God who is always on your side. Don't give up.

You may be running in a race and see yourself far away from the finished line with scores of people ahead of you. You might have said there is no reason to keep running. God will finish what He started. He does not need competition to make you what He promised. Don't get out of the track, keep running, the finish line you see may not be your finish line. If even you cannot be the best in this because some people are doing better don't stop running you can still be your best. Make it a personal best.

God answers to no one and He is forever faithful to His word. Take the promise back to Him. Make your case with the promise and receive the favour of an extension, another chance and abundant grace.

GRATITUDE.

"In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
1 Thess. 05:18

Thanksgiving is a great expression of confidence. It is a good way of navigating your thoughts from your problems and fears towards desired expectations. A grateful person is a happy person who attracts more good with a positive attitude.
You may have some difficulty in appreciating the admonition to give thanks in all things. The essence of your thanksgiving is twofold: give God what is due Him, and set your mind on Him who can help you.
In everything, God remains the same; your challenges should not make you have a lesser impression of who God is.
You must thank Him first, for the gift of life and the sanity of mind to express different emotions in reaction to different situations.
Never accept a bad situation as your permanent portion but thank God that He can make a way of escape as you trust Him and do right. Doing right is your faith in Him. If you do not do as His word says, you are out of faith but in presumption.
Can you pray and say? "Father I thank you and trust you to make all things work for my good. Thank you that I have the privilege of seeing your name glorified again in my life."
Do you know of any righteous person in scriptures whose thanksgiving and praise was intercepted? No, not one, and neither will yours be.
Having done this, you are on course to receive that breakthrough.
It is well.

Thank you for another day you gave us, another life and opportunity it's not that we are the most righteous or better than those who didn't make it to see another day but because of your gracious love. We pray you to give us the strength to serve you and do your will so we won't fall astray and to bless us and our family, to guide and protect us and to bless our life endeavors.

LISTEN TO HIM.

"But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:"
Matthew 02: 22.

It is very important for you to clearly understand who is for you and who is against you.
What you hear about the one who is against you should make you pay attention to God whose faithfulness to you is never in question.

Some of the people and things you are afraid of may never be taken away but don't worry, there is a way you can avoid them and move on with your life.
One sure way around your fear is to have your heart and mind tuned to hear from God. Your willingness to do as directed by the Lord is your antidote to fear.

Wisdom can be closer to you than you ever thought. Every step in the direction of God is a step of wisdom. Wisdom may have no direct bearing on what the enemy does but have everything to do with what you do to prosper amid adversaries around.
Do you have any fears? Listen to the Lord, His word has a way out.

THE BATTLE.

"Now, therefore, go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand."
Judges 07 : 3.

Victory is the only reason for battle. Anytime you go to battle with fear you are less likely to be victorious and more likely to be a casualty.

Why should you keep the weapon of the enemy in you? Fear in your heart and mind is a foothold of the enemy that can become a stronghold against your victory.

Fear on the battlefield is distractive, it makes you vulnerable and predisposes you to error and confusion. Fear on the battlefield can kill you before you die.

Fear magnifies the might of the opponent and weakens your strong hands. Fear makes you consider yourself as a grasshopper and the enemy as a giant.

Why on earth should you go to battle wielding a weapon that can destroy you but never hurt your enemy?
God has given you the spirit of boldness and a sound mind. A sound mind is a fearless mind.

What battles are you fighting? Are those battle spiritual, physical, social, psychological, financial, etc? Any battle cannot be won with fear?

Overcome the spirit of fear to be on course for victory. Do you have the vision to pursue? Anchor your hope in this word: " I am the Lord your God, I will never leave you nor forsake you."
You are not ready for the battle if you still have fears of defeat.
Set your heart and mind on the Lord, meditate on His promises to you, let the assurance of victory be settled in you.
You are more than a conqueror.

WISDOM.

"Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed."
Ecclesiastes 08: 1

Wisdom is a defence. Wisdom is more powerful than weapons of fear. God founded the earth with wisdom. Wisdom can dismantle all devices against you.

Anytime someone or something puts fear in you, seek wisdom. There can't be a source of wisdom better than the word of God.

Wisdom is within the reach of all persons who love it. Your willingness and readiness to learn predispose you to wisdom.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
It is impossible to fear the Lord and fear man at the same time.
Wisdom will make you bold, it will cast away every fear. Wisdom speaks amid fear to give peace and confidence that confuses the enemy.
Wisdom will sail through tough times because it is solution-oriented. Wisdom will knock at the door of your heart and mind and deal with all anxieties.
The cares of life come along with fear and anxiety but wisdom will make you ride on the storms and waves of fear.

Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom. Fear is a storm but wisdom is the stability of the times. Fear passes away but wisdom is an abiding tower of strength.
Seek wisdom to overcome your fears.

POUR THE OIL.

And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! ................ And Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
Genesis 28:17-18.

You may be forced to run away from your comfort zone or your place of inheritance due to brewing trouble and danger. No matter the cause of the dangerous situation, what you should always remember is: "nothing can be so dangerous to the extent of setting aside God's plan for you."
Jacob's encounter with the promise of his inheritance came when he was running away from the location of that inheritance.

God in His wisdom allowed it to be so to prove that His promise to bless you can be affected anywhere.
You may be on or through a journey like that of Jacob. You must travel light because you need to be fast to escape the wrath of an enemy; you, therefore, carry only precious essentials in such flights. The oil is a very important possession in such a journey through dry and dangerous places. You need the "oil" for food, for light in the darkness, for healing your wounds, nourishing your body under harsh weather, and many more.

When you come to know the Word of God and grasp the full understanding of that Word, you move to a level of faith where you become willing to trade your most precious possession for the Word.
The oil was poured on a memorial pillar; a landmark of destiny, to consecrate the memory of the revelation in the dream. You can by faith set up a never to be forgotten experience with a precious possession. That is an honour you can give to God for His promise to you.

Are you in a similar situation? Remember that most destiny changing events are not devoid of fear but let your fear help you to create a memorial that is based on the revelation in the Word of God. Trust the Lord and believe in His promise. Raise a memorial and "pour your

FEAR NOT.
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last.
Revelation 1:17.

God is faithful to the very end of anything He begins; He is the first and the last. He has the first word and the last word; He will finish whatever He begins. You need to have this confidence in your walk of faith but the challenges of life can make you forget about the truth that makes you free. This becomes possible only when the cares of life get your attention more than the Word of God.
Your life is in the hands of the Lord who will never leave you nor forsake you. The several questions raised in your mind by the cares of life remain unanswered when your attention is captured by anxiety and worrying. The puzzles on your mind breed fear but there is still hope.
God has dispersed lots of "fear not" in His word; once you are aware of this, keep reaching out for them in any moment of difficulty.
There is enough provision, in the Word of God, to sustain your obedience. Every promise in the scriptures is the active power you need in your mental processes to overcome the spirit of fear.

You must keep the word in your heart to keep on feeding your mind. That is the way to defeat the darts of fear the enemy throws at you.
Stand firm in the word.

FEAR TO VICTORY.

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
Daniel 8:17

God, since the period of the Garden of Eden, has been coming to man and the men who experienced these divine visitations were in different situations with different heart conditions. As some sought after the Lord others tried to avoid His presence.

You may be afraid even in the presence of the Lord because of His awesome power; your heart and mind cannot grasp all about God. Sometimes the blessings and answers He brings into your situation are the very things which put fear in you. He says, "fear not."

Have you ever prayed for something only to realize how unprepared and unwilling you are to handle the answer to your prayer? You wish you hadn't asked for it. Fear not.
Has the person you received into your life as an angel suddenly or gradually become the opposite of your expectations? Fear not. Have you suddenly discovered your shortcoming in the middle of a destiny-changing assignment? Fear not.

You are getting frustrated because you never expected what you are going through but your heavenly father knew the end from the beginning. Bow before Him in your humble worship and He will lift you to another sudden discovery of great blessings within you to work out your success.

You will first discover this success in your heart through desire and in your mind through the wisdom and understanding that His presence brings.

God is always on your side. He doesn't take sides with your sins but always on your side to deliver you from the power of it. Humble yourself before Him and let Him fill you up again.
