Port Efficiency Statement 🛳

1. Paperless- from 1st September it will start.
2. Freight Terminals which are not ready will be left behind.
3. Highlights; all entities will be registered electronically.
3. All products will be registered electronically on the Paars. And all importers will also be registered at pre arrival level.
4. An enhanced valuation data base will be introduced. Consistency in valuation system is targeted.
5. Air and sea manifests will be shared in real time.
6. From 1st September, processing at the long room will be cancelled. No compliance.
7. single data base will be in force.
8. All payments will be made electronically.
9. All banks will receive and make payments. Will not be limited to only ECOBANK and GCB
10. Goods will examined at random and if found to be non-compliant for the second time, the Company will be banned for life.
11. All port terminal systems will be linked to the paperless system.
12. The GSA will be responsible for all items except those that fall under the FDA.
13. Scan images will be made available after clearance. Importers may be called to answer when sent scan image copies are sent and found to fall short of expected.
14. Goods will be cleared on a maximum time of 4hours
15. Dubai customs is collaborating with Ghana on the paperless system.
8. 3D scanners will be acquired to replace the existing ones.
9. Assign risk levels to all Agents and some will be green and others red, depending on agencies' compliance levels.
