Take a minute to wish our CEO a Happy Birthday, for all his hardwork and sacrifices.

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR FOUNDER & CEO! 🎂

Today, we celebrate Mr. Emmanuel Asante-Okoto, the visionary behind Kumasi City Incubation Hub (KCIH) and KCIH Foundation.

Beyond the title, he is a man who believes in people, ideas, and possibilities. Through his selfless support, mentorship, encouragement, and guidance, he continues to give entrepreneurs and startups the courage to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams.

He plants ideas, creates hope, and helps turn possibilities into realities. His greatest impact is not only what he has built, but the people he continues to build.

This is why we proudly call him “CAPTAIN” — a leader who keeps steering the ship, inspiring others, and showing the way, even when the journey is not easy. 🚢💡

Today, we celebrate you, Sir, and the many lives your vision continues to touch.

Happy Birthday, Captain! 🎉🎂
May you continue to inspire, innovate, and build a future where more people have the courage to dream and the opportunity to make those dreams real.

❤️ Keep leading. Keep inspiring. Keep building.

We’re excited to see innovative startups like Patron Systems tackling real industrial challenges in Ghana.

This milestone reflects the impact of the Digital Transformation Project, an initiative by GIZ Ghana, through which Kumasi City Incubation Hub successfully implemented two cohorts to promote digital transformation and digital inclusion among startups and SMEs.

As an intermediary, Kumasi City Incubation Hub - KCIH connected digital service providers with SMEs while supporting software engineers and technology startups to develop, validate, and commercialise digital solutions that solve real business challenges. Today, our continues to provide product validation, user testing, market research, mentorship, business development support, and strategic partnerships for digital innovators.

One startup currently benefiting from this ecosystem is Patron Systems, led by Rashad Muntar. The team is developing an intelligent industrial maintenance platform designed to minimise unplanned machine breakdowns and costly production downtime.

As Ghana advances its industrialisation agenda, smart maintenance solutions like Patron Systems are becoming essential for improving operational efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness across industries.

We are proud to support innovators like Rashad as they refine solutions with the potential to transform African industries.

If you’re a software engineer, AI innovator, SaaS founder, digital solution provider, or technology startup building impactful solutions, KCIH is ready to support your journey from idea validation to market readiness.

Together, we are building digital solutions that strengthen businesses, transform industries, and accelerate Africa’s digital economy.

🌱 From Skills to Business!

Today, KCIH Foundation officially commenced the second phase of its Skills Development Program, implemented in partnership with Germany Sparkassenstiftung Western Africa and the Ghanaian-European Centre for Jobs, Migration and Development (GEC).

As part of efforts to empower returnees and vulnerable groups across five regions of Ghana, 20 participants began their journey toward becoming agripreneurs through practical training in snail and mushroom farming.

The first session focused on a critical mindset shift: participants are not being trained merely to become farmers, but to become entrepreneurs capable of transforming their skills into sustainable and profitable businesses.

Through an engaging entrepreneurship and business development session, participants explored how to identify market opportunities, develop business models, manage finances, create value-added products, attract customers, and build enterprises that can create jobs and improve livelihoods.

At KCIH Foundation, we believe skills create opportunities, but entrepreneurship creates impact. Our goal is to ensure that every participant leaves this program equipped not only with technical farming skills but also with the business knowledge and confidence needed to establish and grow successful agribusinesses.

This is more than training—it is a pathway to economic empowerment, job creation, and sustainable development.

From Orientation to Action – Skills in Motion! 🍞✨

Following an inspiring orientation session last week, the “Support for Local Training Providers in Ghana” project has now transitioned from introduction to hands-on impact.

This week, 30 participants began their practical journey into baking, marking a critical transition from foundational learning to hands-on, income-generating skills development.

From the very first session, the training was highly practical (70%), engaging participants in real production while grounding them in critical industry standards:

✔️ Hygiene, sanitation & safety in food production
✔️ Precision in measuring and following instructions
✔️ Professional discipline during preparation

And then came the moment of transformation…

Participants successfully completed their FIRST PRACTICAL, baking:
🥐 Cookies
🥯 Rock Buns
🍞 Scones

The excitement in the room was undeniable. For many, it was their first time producing market-ready products, and with that came a powerful realization:
“I can do this. I can build something from this.”

With 100% participation, the energy, commitment, and confidence demonstrated by participants signal more than just training — it signals readiness for self-employment and economic inclusion.

This is how skills development should work: practical, empowering, and directly linked to livelihoods.

We are proud to continue this journey of transforming potential into productivity
