Did you know about the asset-based approach to consulting? As consultants, we are mostly approached by our clients with dramatic stories about all that's wrong with their business. These stories most of the time set us into the problem finding mode. The end results are sometimes solutions not from the familiar processes of the client that may or may not work.

The asset-based consulting approach however first view every challenge of the client as an opportunity to better leverage their existing assets for improvement. The focus shifts from problems to existing opportunities that could be better harnessed. Based on the asset-based consulting model, Blumen consult worked with a client recently to turn their challenges into opportunties to make better use of their existing assets.
