Yesterday, the UNIVERSITY OF ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES-UENR campus witnessed a landmark moment as we officially launched the 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝗜𝗠𝗠 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘄𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗘𝗡𝗥 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵, bringing our mission of professional development closer to a new community of future minerals industry leaders.

The event, 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 was graced by our Founder, 𝗜𝗻𝗴. Henry Antwi, (PhD h.c. FAusIMM), and special guest 𝗠𝗿. Charles Bissue, General Manager of Newmont Ahafo North, with 𝗜𝗻𝗴. Ebenezer Kumi, Senior Lecturer at UENR, serving as Chairperson, alongside other invited guests.

Students left with powerful takeaways:

Personality of the Month . March 🎉

We are delighted to spotlight Stephen Takyi, a BSc. Geological Engineering student at KNUST, Kumasi, as our Personality of the Month for March.

Stephen is a member of the Publicity Committee and the Professional Development Committee, and serves as the Research Lead for the Geology Department Research Team. This recognition celebrates his active participation and consistent presence across multiple areas of Chapter engagement throughout the month, helping to strengthen the visibility and impact of the Chapter's activities.

Last week, the Essikado Campus had the honour of hosting our Founder, 𝗜𝗻𝗴. Henry Antwi, (PhD h.c. FAusIMM), for his second visit to the Essikado Campus, an evening that drew over 𝟭𝟮𝟬 attendees and left a lasting impression on everyone in the room.

From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Ing. Antwi delivered practical, industry-grounded insights that went far beyond the classroom. Here's a glimpse of what was shared:

Our Chairperson, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗻, equally challenged students to take bold steps, stay humble, and never stop asking questions.
We are deeply grateful to Ing. Antwi for his unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of mining professionals, and to Dr. Ashun for his continued support of the chapter's growth.
