*ENERGY EXTREMITY OF THE DAY*
*1. Replace damaged power cords*
Exposed wiring is a potential death trap that must not be overlooked. If you see the protective coating (insulation) on a wire is stripped, be sure to replace that wire or call us to cover it with electrical tape as soon as possible.
*2. Don’t overload your outlets*
Every outlet in your home or office is designed to deliver a certain amount of electricity at a time.
plugging too many devices into one socket could cause an explosion or fire.
If you have a lot of things to plug, it is safer to plug directly in to sockets than overloading a socket which can not safely accommodate your needs.
*3. Avoid extension cords as much as possible*
Running extension cords in the house or office could trip the occupants. It could also cause injury or damage to the wire leading to electrocution or fire.
If you use extension cords very often, contact us to install new outlets for you.
*4. Keep electrical equipment or outlets away from water*
Water conducts electricity, so even the slightest exposure to this dangerous mix can lead to electrocution.
Make sure you wipe up any spills of water on plugs before inserting in to sockets.
*5. Protect small children from hazards*
Toddlers and small children are very curious– and they love to explore just about everything. Parents must put tamper-resistant safety caps on all unused electrical outlets.
In addition, all loose cords should be disconnected, folded up and put out of reach to avoid kids tugging on them.
ALWAYS REMEMBER.
*PREVENTION IS LESS EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO ACCIDENT* .
