Join American Corner The Gambia, in collaboration with Zizo Art Studio and CUBE4STEM, for a 6 week Fun with Art Program—6 that offers exciting painting and crafting for ages 5-12, every Saturday from 11 AM - 1 PM at American Corner, Fajara.

Earlier today I joined a friend of mine visiting Tunbung Art Village. The place of one of Gambia's greatest Artist Late Etu Ndow and I was so inspired by his Artworks..

I have learnt a lot about him and couldn't wait to visit his place.
I wish he was alive to interact with him and tell him how proud I am of his achievements and how I wish to learn from him more.

As a tribute, I was inspired to ask for a canvas and paint this abstract piece at his residence which I gave back to the residents of the Art Village.

The painting is an abstract of a flower pot which translates to "Giving him his flowers" 🌺💐.

May Allah grant him Jannah and May his memory live on.

I encourage my fellow young artists to try as much as possible to learn from older artists as much as they can because the day they leave this earth, that knowledge will depart with them but it'll be with you.

If only I was good at Poetry, I would have written a great piece about this Artwork.
Every stroke of my brush that went on onto this canvas, with my careful selection of colours I painted this with so much love and happiness.
A great piece of Art I call my masterpiece but better than this is the model herself..
A special soul that I can't stop mentioning to the world.
If I was Leonardo Da Vinci, this would be my Monalisa.. It may not be displayed in Galleries but it exhibited in my thoughts and it's PRICELESS..
