Green Waste Initiative is an Enterprise that specialized in the production and sales of briquettes. It is established by young graduates of the University of the Gambia. The team participated in the Hult Prize University of Gambia on-campus competition and emerged winners. The team represented the University of Gambia at the regional Hult Prize competition in the UK. Out of 300,000 + program participants who emerged from 121. Green waste Initiative is now Shortlisted among the 3000 participants who would be participating at Hult Prize, Lusaka summit in Zambia, which is scheduled on the 20th March, 2021. Gambia let's support this young impactful, innvotive and creative youths with sensational view. Representing the University of Gambia in 2021 Lusaka summit.

Greenwaste is a Social Enterprise lead by three young Gambians with the vision to provide clean and affordable energy to all. The first step to realize our vision is by recycling agro and organic waste to form an alternative fuel (Biochar) for charcoal and firewood.
