SERVICE RESTORATION UPDATE
GAMTEL wishes to inform its valued customers and stakeholders that internet services have now been fully restored following the outage experienced earlier today.
The disruption was traced to a power-related issue at ACE facility in Brusubi, which affected sensitive network equipment and resulted in service interruptions across parts of our network.
Despite the incident, GAMTEL's network resilience measures ensured continuity of critical services. Through our permanent international backup arrangements with Sonatel and FREE Senegal, connectivity for GSM operators, ISPs and other critical customers was successfully re-routed, helping to prevent a total communications blackout.
Our technical teams worked tirelessly alongside key stakeholders to diagnose the fault, implement corrective measures, and restore services in the shortest possible time.
