Monday Morning Spotlight!

Meet Ramatoulie Jallow, the incredible mind behind Smiling Coast Tourism and a graduate of our Yokute Accelerator Program under the Tourism Diversification and Resilience in the Gambia Project (TDRGP) funded by the World Bank Group.

With Yokute's support, Ramatoulie is redefining hospitality in The Gambia through technology. Her company focuses on building practical digital solutions that help accommodation businesses modernize, boost efficiency, and increase transparency.

Their latest breakthrough? The Smileafric Hotel Management System (HMS) is a platform designed to give hotels full control over room inventory, guest check-ins/outs, housekeeping, and daily operations.

In Ramatoulie's words: “Technology does not replace hospitality; it strengthens it by helping businesses operate smarter, serve better, and grow sustainably.”

Let's celebrate her journey and dedication to putting Gambia's tourism sector on the digital map!

Long before ink met parchment, there were the 𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙩𝙨, West Africa's timeless guardians of wisdom. With the hypnotic strum of the kora and voices woven from generations, they cradled histories, epics, and secrets of the land. Masters of memory, they turned nights into living legends, binding communities under starlit skies.

On May 9th, Nomadiq Routes revives this sacred legacy at 𝑫ë𝒍𝒍𝒖 𝑪𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒂𝒏, our unforgettable cultural evening at The White House in Tabokoto, The Gambia.

𝓟𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼: Griots unfurl ancient tales of kings, spirits, and resilient heroes. Kora strings dance like fireflies in the dusk. Bonfires crackle, casting golden glows as we share meals of local flavors and forge bonds in the heart of The Gambian heritage.

This isn't a show; it's a portal rooted in The Gambia's vibrant soil, open to wanderers, families, and culture seekers from near and far. At Nomadiq Routes, travel transcends postcards, it's about immersing in the pulse of a place, feeling its stories echo in your bones.

“When MSMEs improve, the way they manage, produce and deliver, they build trust with lead firms and open pathways to steady contracts and sustained growth. Selection into the programme focuses MSMEs that reflect the quality and authenticity of The Gambia and that shows strong potential to scale.”
