Wine Culture in Ancient Greece.
Drinking wine was very popular in Ancient Greek period. Greeks never drank beer in Ancient Greek period, because they thought that beer was the drink of barbarian nations. Greeks were drinking wine straight or by adding water in Ancient Greek period. The alcholic strength of wines in Ancient Greek period was fifteen percent. Greeks never drank aged wines except Mycenaeans in Ancient Greek period. There were three kind of wines in Ancient Greek period: black, white, and amber. The best wines were producted in Le**os, Chios, Thasos and Mende in Ancient Greek period. Greeks were putting wine to amphoras which was invented by them in Ancient Greek period.
