Mine Game brings mathematics into an interactive digital environment where students can experience how numbers, calculations, measurements, data, and logical thinking can be applied to practical situations. 🌟
Through different challenges in Minecraft Education, learners are encouraged to analyse information, compare alternatives, calculate results, manage resources, recognise patterns, and make informed decisions. 📊🔢
Instead of simply asking, “What is the correct answer?”, Mine Game encourages students to ask:
🤔 What information do I have?
🧮 What do I need to calculate?
📊 How can I compare the different options?
🎯 Which solution works best?
💡 What happens if I change my strategy?
By integrating mathematics into game-based challenges, abstract concepts become more tangible, engaging, and connected to problem-solving situations.
At the same time, students strengthen important skills such as logical reasoning, critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and digital competence. 🧠⚡

Teacher training matters. 🎮📚

Successful game-based learning is not only about the game—it also depends on well-designed lesson plans, practical guidance, and teacher training.

That's why the MINEGAME project supports educators with the tools they need to confidently bring game-based learning into the classroom.

Teacher training matters.
A recent systematic literature review on Minecraft Education (2015–2024) highlights that the success of game-based STEM learning depends not only on the quality of the game itself, but also on well-designed lesson plans, teacher guidance, and educator training.
Supporting teachers with practical educational resources is therefore essential to unlock the full potential of digital game-based learning.

The Mine Game pilot phase has successfully wrapped up! 🎮✨

Students and educators across Europe tested the educational package, exploring how Minecraft Education can support engaging STEM learning experiences.

The feedback collected will help refine the final resources and prepare Mine Game for its official release. 🚀

The Mine Game pilot phase has successfully come to an end!
Between April and June 2026, pilot activities were carried out in Spain, Croatia, Italy, Germany, and Türkiye, bringing together students, teachers, and STEM educators to test the Mine Game educational package in real learning environments. The technical implementation of the Minecraft Education game environment was supported by the Greek partner AKNOW.
The pilots followed a common methodology across all partner countries. Each session combined classroom preparation, gameplay in the Minecraft Education environment, and structured feedback from both students and educators. Participants tested not only the game itself, but also the lesson plans, Teacher's Guide, and educational resources, helping the partnership evaluate learning outcomes, usability, engagement, and the overall effectiveness of the educational approach.
The valuable feedback collected during the pilot phase will now support the final refinement of the Mine Game package before its official release.
