Corfu Town, a short ferry ride from Sivota. Bell towers watching over centuries-old alleys, bougainvillea spilling over doorways, and shopfronts old and new sharing the same worn stone. This is the kind of detour we always recommend -Sivota is home, but the Ionian has more than one story to tell.

The Acheron River Springs isn't far from Sivota, and it's a different kind of clear. Glacial-fed, cold even in July and August, and famous for a reason: mythology aside, it might be the clearest water springs in Epirus. Horseback through the shallows is how we send people who want a day off the coast. Ask us for the route.
