NEW LAUNCH! The Anthologist Chimera block-print robes have landed. I loveeeeee them. 🥰✨
For over a year, I have worked with my artisan partner, Sameer and his team, to celebrate this centuries-old craft in a way the reflects the ethos of our brand. It took time, patience and a lot of trials. Development is my favorite part of the creative process. Why? It’s fun and rewarding for both sides. And having something holistically ours is so special.
In Rajasthan, hand-carved wooden blocks have been pressed into cloth for over 450 years — a tradition believed to have begun in the 16th century when the Mughal emperors patronized textile makers, sending block-printed cottons as prized exports across Asia and Europe. Each block is still carved by hand, each color mixed by hand, and each impression stamped by hand. The rhythm of block printing is meditative, imperfect, and deeply human —and that is its beauty.
With Sameer, we created a custom palette, the prints washed and sun-dried inJaipur’s golden light before being cut and sewn by hand. The Anthologist Chimera— part lion, part serpent, part goat — leaps across organic cotton as a symbol of strength and transformation.
Exclusively ours, each robe is a wearable story: of craft, of continuity, of myth carried forward.
