Through NeCoWo, we are launching a Community of Practice on EPALE to collectively map the socio-cultural competences needed in gentrified and vulnerable neighbourhoods. 🌱✨
Join us to share experiences, challenges and skills from practice — and help make community knowledge more visible. 🏘️🤝
Discovering the skills we need:
Mapping socio-cultural competences in gentrified & vulnerable contexts.
Communities across Europe are changing fast.
Gentrification, inequality, fragile social fabrics…
In these contexts, cultural work is never neutral.
That’s why, within the NeCoWo project, we’ve launched a Community of Practice on EPALE.
We start from a key question:
What skills do socio-cultural workers really need today?
Let’s map this together!
We’re not proposing a fixed framework.
We’re building it collectively.
Join us and share your experience:
— What skills have been crucial in your work?
— What was missing in your training?
— How do you avoid tokenistic participation?
— How do you balance institutions & community care?
You can share:
- a situation
- a challenge
- a skill you had to learn on the go
