The Hollywood Side of Greece | Amorgos

Where the Aegean turns into the Big Blue.
Luc Besson’s The Big Blue captured the wild beauty of Amorgos, with Agia Anna, the cliffs beneath Panagia Hozoviotissa and Kalotaritissa Bay becoming part of the film’s unforgettable world.

For those arriving by yacht, this is Greece at its most cinematic, deep blue waters, dramatic coastlines and secluded bays waiting to be discovered from the sea.

A destination made for the big blue.

The Hollywood Side of Greece | Corfu

A little shaken, a little stirred and unmistakably Corfiot.

Picture this: cruising through the Ionian, dropping anchor beneath the cliffs of Paleokastritsa, passing the iconic Pontikonisi and making your way towards Faliraki and the Old Fortress.

This is the Corfu that became part of For Your Eyes Only, a cinematic island best experienced at sea, where every stop comes with its own story and a little bit of 007 magic.

Your next Bond-worthy escape? Consider it licensed.

The Hollywood Side of Greece | Kefalonia

Captain Corelli’s Mandolin brought the landscapes of Kefalonia to audiences around the world, with the island’s Ionian beauty becoming the backdrop for a story of love, music and war.

The picturesque village of Assos, the turquoise waters of Antisamos Beach and the secluded Chorgota Beach all featured in the film, places that can still be explored today as part of a journey through Kefalonia by yacht.

With its dramatic coastline, hidden coves and crystal-clear waters, Kefalonia offers the perfect setting to follow in the footsteps of Captain Corelli, one unforgettable anchorage at a time.

For Halle Scott of Superyacht People, MEDYS is about much more than discovering exceptional yachts.
Having first attended the show as part of her journey into the industry, she shares what makes the experience so distinctive, from the warmth of Greek hospitality to the invaluable opportunity to meet crews and experience the yachts first-hand.

Back at MEDYS for a second year, Tim Morley shares what keeps bringing him back. The chance to explore the latest yachts, meet the crews behind them and catch up with colleagues from across the industry.

For him, it is these conversations, connections and shared ideas that make the show such an important part of the yachting calendar.

Returning to MEDYS year after year, Georgia Boscawen of BOAT International reflects on the show’s continued growth, the evolving Greek charter market and the new yachts, destinations and opportunities it brings to the international yachting community.

The Hollywood Side of Greece | Skopelos

Mamma Mia! put Skopelos on the world map as the picture-perfect Greek island of Kalokairi.

The wedding chapel of Agios Ioannis Kastri, the pine-fringed coastline of Cape Amarandos and the picturesque Agnontas Port all featured in the film, turning the island’s natural beauty into part of the story. Today, the same landscapes remain very much real and are best discovered as part of a journey through the Sporades by sea.
