The NIMBY phenomenon is a challenge for societies seeking a balance between growth and maintaining quality of life. GREEN2SUSTAIN through dedicated analyses, such as carrying capacity studies, aims at ensuring this delicate balance and bridging the gaps between private investments and local communities.

The term NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) is used in the science of sociology to describe the reaction of a group of people or a community to projects or facilities planned to be developed in their immediate geographical area.

In GREEN2SUSTAIN we are proud that we have performed yet another DNSH screening for a soon-to-be implemented industrial investment.

The "Do no significant harm" (DNSH) Principle provides that no measure (i.e., no reform and no investment) included in a Member State’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) should lead to significant harm to any of the six environmental objectives.
