Baker Tilly South East Europe marked 30 years of presence and activity across South East Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean with an anniversary event held at The Landmark Nicosia, Autograph Collection, on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, at The Landmark Nicosia, Autograph Collection bringing together more than 250 attendees, including senior executives from the business community, representatives from the public sector, institutional stakeholders, clients, and partners of the firm.
The evening highlighted the organisation’s development over the past 3 decades, its regional expansion and its role across audit, tax, advisory and business services.
Addressing attendees, Marios A. Klitou, CEO of Baker Tilly South East Europe, referred to the organisation’s 30 year journey, its long-standing regional presence and its continued emphasis on professional standards, technical expertise and long-term relationships. Mr. Klitou also expressed his sincere appreciation to the firm’s partners, clients, and people for their trust, contribution, and continued commitment throughout the years.
Rakesh Shaunak, Chairman at MHA, also spoke about the merger with MHA and the international opportunities created through broader global access, sector knowledge and cross-border collaboration.
The keynote address was delivered by Joe Nellis, Emeritus Professor & Economic Adviser at MHA, who spoke on the topic “Uncertain Times, Critical Decisions: The Global and European Economic Outlook”.
The event concluded with a cocktail reception, and with a message of appreciation to all guests for their presence and to everyone who contributed to the organisation and successful delivery of this milestone celebration, as well as optimism for the future ahead.
