LearnChain's Transnational Project Meeting, was held on-line, on Monday 6th of July.

𝐍𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝟔 𝐝𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐥𝐡𝐨, 𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨́𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐮-𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨́𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐬! 📖🔗

Durante a reunião, os parceiros analisaram o progresso dos 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐬, o desenvolvimento do 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 e a criação da biblioteca de 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐜̧𝐨̃𝐞𝐬 𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢́𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐬. Houve ainda tempo para discutir a futura série de 𝐩𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬 do projeto.

O consórcio coordenou também as datas para as próximas reuniões transnacionais na Eslováquia e na Grécia, previstas para 2027! ✈️🌍

During the meeting, partners reviewed the progress of the 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬, the development of the 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤, and the creation of the 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 library. There was also time to discuss the project's upcoming series of 𝐩𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬.

The consortium also coordinated the dates for the next transnational meetings in Slovakia and Greece, planned for 2027! ✈️🌍

Following our initial project announcement, the teams behind LearnChain: Empowering Higher Education Students for a Sustainable Digital Future are fully immersed in the implementation phase! How can tourism SMEs become more resilient in an increasingly uncertain world?
Our latest research, in the 6 participating countries in ReTour project, explored the challenges, opportunities and training needs of tourism micro, small and medium enterprises across Southern Europe and the Middle East.

Yesterday Friday, June 19th, we visited Develop Athens S.A. for a highly productive meeting as part of the European project ReTour – Building Resilient SMEs in the Tourism Industry (Interreg NEXT MED).
Develop Athens S.A., is the Development and Destination Management Agency of the Municipality of Athens, established to promote the economic, social and tourism development of the city. With a strong track record in EU-funded projects, including Horizon Europe and Digital Europe programmes, Develop Athens acts as a key interface between local government, businesses and European innovation networks.
Together with colleague Anastasios Zafeiropulos (Communication Manager, Lead Partner NTUA), we were welcomed by Mr. Giorgos Stefas, (Head of EU Projects) and discussed a mutually accepted framework for collaboration.
Develop Athens is participating in ReTour as Associated Partner, bringing the network of tourist businesses of the Municipality of Athens into the heart of the project.
The collaboration proposal has been agreed upon at working level. The specific activities in which Develop Athens will participate will be validated by the Develop Athens Board of Directors.
Next step? On July 3rd, Develop Athens joins an online meeting with the other 2 Interreg NEXT MED tourism programmes (ClusterAtlas4Med & CReSInMed) - and their own ERASMUS+ Alliances for Skills project, BET – Alliance for Skills, Sustainability, and Innovation in Emerging Tourism Types.
Four European projects, one agenda: greater impact for tourism in Attica, Greece and the Mediterranean.

Bridging the Digital Skills Gap

LearnChain (KA220-HED-28DFDD74) is an Erasmus+ cooperation project in higher education running from September 2025 to August 2027. It addresses a critical gap: university students — especially in Business and Economics — are entering a digital economy without the technical literacy and ethical grounding they need to succeed.

The project brings together six partners from Portugal, Türkiye, Greece, and Slovakia to co-develop a comprehensive "Digital Foundations" training course and a gamified e-learning platform, ensuring sustainable impact well beyond the project's lifetime.

We are thrilled to share the official results of the Interreg NEXT MED Programme’s recent decisions for the Mediterranean region: 49 projects approved under the call for green transition. €113 million in EU funding allocated to support these initiatives. 331 organisations involved from 15 participating countries. €8 million newly allocated for the third call for proposals focused on sustainable tourism.Significant progress on the preparation for the new Interreg NEXT MED Programme (2028–2034).The strategic evaluation and verification of eligibility (STEP2) is moving forward, paving the way for a greener Mediterranean.

The B_T_3.1_0183 – ECOLEARN project has successfully passed the second stage of evaluation under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme. We are proud to share that it achieved a top score of 93/100, under: Priority 3 – A More Social and Inclusive Mediterranean SO3.1 – Equal Access to Inclusive and Quality Services in Education, Training and Lifelong Learning
