We are pleased to present the CYBER-UP Synthesis Report, bringing together the findings of the project’s research across the participating countries (Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Bulgaria).

A first important step towards building stronger cybersecurity knowledge, skills and preparedness across Europe! The report explores the current cybersecurity landscape for SMEs, including relevant regulations, cybersecurity gaps and needs, as well as practices that can support businesses in strengthening their digital resilience.

These findings provide an important evidence base for the next stages of CYBER-UP, including the development of the project’s cybersecurity training programme and learning resources for SMEs and VET educators.

We're starting our first assignment in South Africa🇿🇦 funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH

We'll work with — South Africa's medicines and vaccines regulator — on its organizational transformation.

The ambition is a high one: WHO Maturity Level 4, and eventually recognition as a WHO Listed Authority. Very few regulators on the continent are close to that bar. What gets an institution there usually isn't a new regulation or a new tool — it's how the organization itself is built: structure, leadership, decision-making, and whether staff are actually brought along as things change.

Organizational development is understanding how an institution actually functions, then redesigning it so ambition and capacity finally match.
Glad to bring that to SAHPRA, on work that matters far beyond one authority — how confidently Africa can regulate, and eventually manufacture, its own medicines and vaccines.

On 3 April, we successfully delivered our Youth Foresight Workshop under the Erasmus+ project “For Youth Information (FYI)” at the BK Plus offices in Nicosia, bringing together 20 young participants in an interactive and hands-on learning experience.

During the session, participants were introduced to foresight and the key outputs of the FYI project, including the FYI Manual, and explored the full pathway from horizon scanning and trend analysis to imagining future scenarios and developing action-oriented plans. Through collaborative exercises such as trend identification, the 2x2 Matrix, and Backcasting, participants worked in groups across multiple spaces, exchanging ideas and building practical solutions for the future.

The workshop generated strong engagement and meaningful outputs, with participants developing future scenarios and concrete action pathways, while also reporting a knowledge increase of over 30% and satisfaction levels above 90%. The session concluded with participants joining and strengthening the FYI online community, extending the impact beyond the workshop itself.

On 31 March, we hosted the second session of our multiplier event under the Erasmus+ project “For Youth Information (FYI)” at the SEK offices, in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Bringing together 17 participants, this session was organised to broaden outreach and further strengthen dissemination efforts in line with the project’s objectives and indicators.

Participants engaged in insightful discussions around youth engagement, digital challenges, and the practical use of foresight tools, while exploring how the FYI project results can be applied and expanded within the youth sector.
