Living Prospects Development & Environmental Services Ltd is an international consultancy firm assisting various types of private and public organizations in designing, implementing, and assessing green and circular economy projects, with a particular focus on urban, coastal (including tourism-related), industrial and agricultural development initiatives. In doing so, we have developed significant

capacities in effectively attracting, managing, and leveraging European Union and other donor funds, in assisting various authorities and Funds in project proposal evaluation and selection processes, as well as in providing policy expertise to Ministries and sub-national level authorities and institutions.

🌍 From June 30 - July 2 2026, the final conference of the EmPowerIngUs project took place in Getafe, Spain, marking the successful completion of a valuable journey of collaboration, knowledge exchange and joint efforts among European cities and partners.

Throughout the project, Living Prospects had the privilege of supporting e-Trikala, contributing to the coordination and implementation of project activities, promoting knowledge exchange, sharing good practices and supporting the development of innovative approaches to tackle energy poverty.

The final meeting provided an important opportunity to reflect on the project’s achievements, showcase the actions implemented by the partners and highlight key lessons learned:
🔹 Citizen engagement is a fundamental element of a fair and inclusive energy transition.
🔹 Local action and tailored solutions are essential for transforming European strategies into meaningful impact for communities.
🔹 Cooperation between European cities is a key driver for developing and transferring innovative solutions.

For us, participation in EmPowerIngUs has been a valuable experience, strengthening our expertise in sustainable development, energy transition and the design of innovative solutions at local level.

♻️ The linear economy costs the world €25.4 trillion annually—nearly 31% of global GDP—in lost value that could be recovered and reinvested.

Today, the circular economy is no longer just an environmental agenda; it is an economic and strategic imperative.

As European Commissioner Jessika Roswall put it:
💬 “The circularity discussion used to be about waste. Today it is about strategy.”

🚀 We are proud to announce that Living Prospects, together with sequa gGmbH (lead) and adelphi, has been entrusted with the European Commission’s Circular Economy and Water Facility (CEWF), launched in June 2026.

🌍 This builds on more than a decade of delivering the Switch2Green Facility, supporting the design and implementation of EU circular economy initiatives across the Global South. Since 2020, this has included:

✅ 300+ interventions reviewed and strengthened
✅ 50 missions across 45 countries
✅ 950 professionals trained
✅ 19 new EU initiatives co-designed

🔄 As lead for circular economy technical advisory within CEWF, Living Prospects will help advance EU priorities on resource security, circular value chains, and sustainable industrial development.

✨ Proud to have represented the Municipality of Trikala at the 5th Transnational Meeting of the EmPowerIngUs project in Maia, Portugal 🇵🇹

📆 From 17–19 March 2026, partners came together to exchange knowledge, review progress and co-create solutions to address energy poverty at the local level, through workshops, peer-reviews and site visits in Maia.

👉 Living Prospects Ltd., representing e-trikala, actively contributed across all sessions—presenting progress, participating in peer-reviews and engaging in collaborative discussions with partners.

The meeting also provided space to reflect on project progress, align on next steps and prepare upcoming outputs, including the final conference and network results.

🔹 EmPowerIngUs is a strong example of how urban innovation and social inclusion can go hand in hand. By combining advanced data analysis with on-the-ground actions, the project supports cities in developing data-driven policies to tackle energy poverty.

🤝 Productive discussions, valuable exchanges and strong collaboration continue to move us forward towards more inclusive and sustainable cities.

📍 TREASURE Project – 5th Transnational Meeting | Piraeus, Greece 🇬🇷 ⚓

On 27–28 January 2026, the TREASURE | Testing novel environmental quality measures in and around Euro-MED ports project partners and stakeholders gathered in Piraeus for the 5th project meeting, hosted at the Piraeus Port Authority - OLP.

🔹 The meeting was a key milestone for TREASURE, combining a Transfer Workshop open to stakeholders, technical discussions among partners, and a study visit to the port area to better understand local environmental challenges.

💡 Key highlights included:
• Presentation of innovative solutions for improving environmental quality in port areas, with a strong focus on waste management
• Pitching sessions by solution providers
• Exchange on governance models, decision-making tools, and environmental monitoring frameworks
• Updates on pilot testing, environmental data collection, and pathways for mainstreaming and replicating TREASURE solutions across the Euro-Mediterranean area

🤝 The meeting fostered valuable dialogue between project partners, public authorities, port operators, solution providers, and stakeholders, turning evidence into tangible results for cleaner and more sustainable ports.

🌱 Empowering Circular Economy & Critical Raw Materials Resilience in Kozani! 🌱

We are proud to support the Municipality of Kozani in the implementation of the Raw4Res project, aiming to promote responsible mining and enhance the resilience of critical raw materials in EU regions.

📆 In this context, Living Prospects organized a two-day workshop, on December 1st and 3rd, 2025, designed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing on circular economy practices and industrial symbiosis.

We led presentations and guided participants through key topics, including:
🔹 The Circular Economy and Critical Raw Materials, highlighting their importance for European resilience
🔹 Networking methods (matchmaking) and the creation of industrial symbiosis collaboration models.

The active participation and exchange of knowledge and experiences were essential in strengthening local collaborations and developing sustainable solutions for the region’s future.

📆 In early December, Living Prospects, as a partner in the Recircle MED project, had the pleasure of participating in the Local Mobilisation Workshop & Western Balkans Forum, held on December 3–4, 2025 in Ohrid, North Macedonia.

🔹 Hosted by the Municipality of Ohrid, this two-day event brought together key representatives from public authorities and policy makers, academia and research institutions, businesses, tourism organizations, and other relevant entities from across the region.

Key highlights included:
✨ A deep dive into the RECIRCLE MED Blueprint for Blue Action Plans for Circular Tourism.
✨ Gaining a thorough understanding of Ohrid's specific characteristics and context.
✨ Engaging discussions on opportunities and challenges in implementing circular economy strategies in the tourism sector, both locally and regionally.
✨ Exploring cross-border synergies and potential funding avenues.
