This groundbreaking initiative not only addresses critical challenges in Mongolia’s tanning sector but also showcases our commitment to innovation and sustainability.

👞 💼 The recently completed EU SWITCH-Asia Programme Sustainable Yak Leather project tackled the decline of Mongolia’s tanning sector by reducing waste and improving value capture from hides and skins. By focusing on yak hides from four provinces, it demonstrated that 🌱 vegetable tanning can deliver sustainable, traceable, and higher-value leather, while strengthening skills, production processes, and export readiness across the value chain. 📸 Η European Profiles Greece στηρίζει την Φωτογραφική Έκθεση «Το Ελληνικό Θαύμα στην Τασκένδη»

Η Έκθεση διοργανώνεται από το Κέντρο Ελληνικού Πολιτισμού στην Τασκένδη, σε συνεργασία με τον Οργανισμό Πολιτισμού, Αθλητισμού και Νεολαίας του Δήμου Αθηναίων (ΟΠΑΝΔΑ) και τον Ελληνο-Ουζμπέκικο Σύνδεσμο Φιλίας.

Η έκθεση περιλαμβάνει 100 ιστορικές φωτογραφίες (50×70 εκ.) από το αρχείο του Ελληνικού Κέντρου Τασκένδης, οι οποίες αποτυπώνουν:
🔹 Τη ζωή των Πολιτικών προσφύγων στην Τασκένδη από το 1949 μέχρι τον επαναπατρισμό τους τη δεκαετία του ‘70.
🔹Φωτογραφικό αφιέρωμα στους Πόντιους που εκτοπίστηκαν το 1937-49 από τον Εύξεινο Πόντο και κατέφυγαν στις στέπες του Καζακστάν και στην Κοκάνδη του Ουζμπεκιστάν.
🔹 Την εξέλιξη και τις δραστηριότητες του Ελληνικού Κέντρου στην Ουζμπεκιστάν στην πρωτεύουσα, Τασκένδη.
