We reflect on the pressing need to address mental health as a shared responsibility.

𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲
As of 2025, mental health challenges remain a significant concern in the WHO European Region:
1) 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Approximately 1 in 6 individuals (17%) are living with a mental health condition. (WHO Europe, 2025)
2) 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝗽𝘀: 1 in 3 people with a mental health condition does not receive the necessary treatment. (WHO Europe, 2025)
3) 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: Over 120,000 people die by su***de annually; more than 300 every day. (WHO Europe, 2025)

𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀: 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀
In June 2025, 31 countries convened in Paris for a landmark conference, committing to integrate mental health into all national policies. This "Mental Health in All Policies" approach emphasizes (WHO Europe, 2025):

- 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
- 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀

𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Working together across all sectors to create a society that prioritizes mental well-being.

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 Basic Innovative Skills in Adult Training in Organic Agriculture (Oct 2016 – Nov 2018), an Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Union.

Together with partners from Portugal, Slovakia, Italy, Bulgaria, and Greece, AEGEAS EKPAIDEFTIKI helped develop innovative training tools and curricula aimed at empowering adults in rural areas, including marginalized groups and women, with skills in organic agriculture and sustainable rural development.

The project strengthened adult learning opportunities, promoted social inclusion, and facilitated knowledge exchange across Europe, while providing practical and accessible resources for rural communities.

Building on decades of active participation in European educational projects, 𝗔𝗘𝗚𝗘𝗔𝗦 𝗘𝗞𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗙𝗧𝗜𝗞𝗜 has contributed to initiatives that blend innovation, learning, and social impact across Greece and Europe.

Together with our partners from Slovakia, Estonia, Spain, and Portugal, the project aimed to enhance the skills of educators in formal and non-formal education, promote peer teaching methods, and design innovative curricula and educational materials for the transmission of European cultural heritage.

By connecting schools with public and private heritage organizations, the project fostered intercultural and intergenerational learning and created educational experiences that reached over 2,000 beneficiaries.

Through workshops, seminars, and a network of experts, this project helped develop open educational resources, methodological guides, and curriculum materials now accessible to schools, heritage managers, and educational professionals across Europe.

Together with partners from Spain, Turkey, Romania, Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Portugal, we created a thematic network and digital resources to promote entrepreneurship, competitiveness, and professional development in the non-wood forest products (NWFP) sector.

This project strengthened vocational training, facilitated knowledge exchange, and provided practical tools for rural youth, women, and marginalized groups, while reinforcing AEGEAS EKPAIDEFTIKI’s commitment to transnational collaboration and exploring new opportunities for impactful educational projects.

Together with partners from Turkey, Spain, Ireland, Estonia, Romania, and the UK, we developed innovative curricula and training programs to equip young people and educators with the digital, entrepreneurial, and industrial skills required for the evolving demands of Industry 4.0.

This experience strengthened transnational collaboration, knowledge exchange, and best practices in vocational education, while inspiring AEGEAS EKPAIDEFTIKI to continue exploring new opportunities for impactful educational projects.
