A school may operate for part of the day. The capital invested in it exists 24 hours a day.
That does not mean every school should stay open longer. It means utilisation should be decided deliberately. Can selected facilities operate independently, serve additional purposes and do so without disproportionate security, staffing or operating costs?
Saudi Arabia is already enabling greater use of educational facilities outside official hours. The opportunity is not simply “more use,” but designing the operating conditions that make it viable.
These decisions belong in the brief, not after the building is complete.
