ΑΡΥς (ARYs) The founding faculty members originate from the Departments of Chemistry, Geology, Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

The intra-university research network, “Development and Evaluation of Sorbent Materials for Environmental Applications”, ARYs, of the University of Patras, was founded in September 2009. It is a network of 10 faculty members from the University of Patras with main goal the interdisciplinary interaction for the Development and Evaluation of Sorbent Materials for Environmental Applications.
