Super excited for this one! Lock specimen book, designed by Litho printed with red, blue and black ink on .paper

has unveiled Lock, its first superfamily designed by Founder and Lead Font Developer .

Ovezea, Lock offers four distinct subfamilies – Serif, Serif Stencil, Sans and Sans Stencil – each with six weights and a host of typographic features.⁠

Born from a desire for versatility, Lock merges traditional calligraphy with modern industrialism, creating a dynamic and cohesive humanist design. The typeface’s balance between tradition and modernity sets it apart, with sharp serif subfamilies for headlines and clean sans versions for extended text.⁠

The development process posed unique challenges, requiring parallel creation of all subfamilies and careful weight adjustments. Despite technical hurdles, the team has achieved a cohesive system where the subfamilies work interchangeably.⁠
⁠
Lock breaks away from superfamily clichés with just 24 styles, offering impact without excess. Its ability to seamlessly pair serif and sans styles, along with stencil variations, makes it versatile for editorial, branding and packaging design.⁠

Happy to share with you the ‘Dear God, the Parthenon is still broken,’ the first photography monograph by the renowned director Yorgos Lanthimos, published by
 
Mastering the art of the photographic lens this time, the awarded and internationally acclaimed film director invites us to enter his creative universe in a whole new light. Featuring shots that drift between black and white and colour, reality and fiction, and captured during the filming of ‘Poor Things’, ‘Dear God, the Parthenon is still broken’ is a book that inhabits a separate world, untethered from time and place. The negatives -developed by Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone after a long day of filming in a makeshift darkroom at a bathroom- come together with an unpublished and specially crafted poem by Patti Smith.
