It was an absolute pleasure contributing to the BSc(Hons) Animal Behaviour and Training (Clinical) and BSc(Hons) Animal Behaviour and Training with Canine (Clinical) programmes through three guest lectures for L4, L5, and L6 students. Additionally, working with Lilly Harris is always a rewarding experience - she is an exceptional educator and professional who leads these two programmes. Hartpury University is a great educational institution and the Animal & Ag… Δείτε περισσότερα

It was an absolute honour to participate last Tuesday as a speaker at the Power of the Human – Canine Bond event organised by the All-Party Parliamentary Dog Advisory Welfare Group, The Society for Companion Animal Studies (SCAS) and Our Special Friends. It was a privilege to be part of such a meaningful initiative.
The event begun in the afternoon at the Portcullis House, with a drop-in session, where all speakers briefed Members of Parliament on various research and practical aspects of this important subject. In the evening, we delivered our talks/presentations to the attendees in Committee Room 11 of the UK Parliamant. It is always a real pleasure to meet/work with likeminded colleagues (Clare Thomas & Bryony Francis) and contribute to events that promote Dog Welfare and the Human-Canine Bond.
Many thanks to Marc the Vet , Elizabeth Ormerod , Belinda Bin Johnston and Agria Pet Insurance for organising the event!

Such an interesting and informative All-Party Parliamentary Group meeting held earlier this evening in the Houses of Common. It was a real pleasure listening to and sharing ideas with some very supportive MPs, great academics and passionate professionals on how to promote dog welfare and tackle the dog bite problem. Thank you APDAWG https://www.facebook.com/groups/1269501513979694/?ref=share for organising this great meeting!

Some thoughts about pet cat environmental enrinchmement.

It was mid-August 2022 in Alepochori, Greece and I was sitting relaxed on a bench by the seacoast watching the beautiful sunset. It was then, from the corner of my eye, I saw a cat passing over my bench; she was heading towards another cat who was eating food provided by a local, stray animal [...]

Happy to delivering again a webinar for SCAS!
In this webinar I will briefly explain my method/approach on promoting shelter dogs welfare, optimising dog - shelter staff interaction and increasing the potential for successful adoptions. Parts of this method/approach were first presented in the 2019 annual conference of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors, UK.

This webinar presents the InKennel training method and looks at dog - staff interaction in the shelter/kennel environment.
