Sustainability communication has changed.
Since 27 September 2026, the EU's ECGT Directive (EU) 2024/825 applies, with much tighter rules on environmental claims and sustainability labels.
It is NOT about this:
❌ "Eco-friendly", "green", "carbon neutral"
❌ Self-made badges and Net Zero promises without a plan
It IS about this:
✅ "Water consumption decreased by 12% per guest night compared with 2024."
✅ "Food waste per guest night decreased from 0.42 kg to 0.31 kg."
Specific. Measurable. Verifiable.
The goal is not to communicate less about sustainability. It is to communicate it better:
"Here is what we changed. Here is how we measured it. Here is the result."
