Indian Army FPOs: F.P.O.No.R10 Arrived in Dodecanese at the end of February 1945 and it was sent to operate with the HQ Blair Force Division. It started operating ther on 3.3.1945 and closed on 27.6.1945. OAS cover canc. “FPO R.10*2.MAY.45” to England. Cachet “PASSED BY CENSOR No.6927”. On reverse cachet “CENSOR DEP. CHIEF FIELD” and transit marks “APO No.?*6.MAY.45” and “APO No.1*7.MAY.45”. The only known cover sent from the F.P.O.No.R1. Rare.
