IMC will be conducting a 24 hours MSHA Safety Class: New Miner Training as per 30 CFR Part 46.5.
What is Mining Operations?
--Mining operations means mine development, drilling, blasting, extraction, milling, crushing, screening, or sizing of minerals at a mine; maintenance and repair of mining equipment; and associated haulage of materials within the mine from these activities. 30 CFR 46.2 (h).
What is a New Miner?
--New miner means a person who is beginning employment as a miner with a production-operator or independent contractor and who is not an experienced miner. 30 CFR 46.2 (i)
New Miner Safety Courses will be filling up fast. Get ahead of the game. Make your training appointment soon. Don't get shutdown.
Why? MSHA Compliance Officers will be on island in a couple of weeks.
Course requirements:
1. Minimum 10 worker/students, Maximum 20 worker/students.
2. Copy of Mine Safety Plan includes Mine I.D.
3. Require Payment in Advance.
