El webinar presentará las diferentes herramientas que se utilizan para registrar los avistamientos de sargazo, así como los productos y servicios ofrecidos por los servicios CoastWatch Nodo Regional del Caribe y el Golfo de México y OceanWatch para el Atlántico de la Administración Nacional para el Océano y la Atmósfera de los Estados Unidos, que están directamente relacionados con el monitoreo y seguimiento de estallidos de sargazo.

Se describirán algunas técnicas y procesos que permiten un fácil acceso a productos de datos satelitales globales y regionales comúnmente utilizados para el monitoreo y pronóstico de sargazo. Los participantes también recibirán información sobre cómo utilizar estas herramientas para comprender, gestionar y proteger mejor los recursos oceánicos y costeros de la región.

Este evento se lleva a cabo en el marco de nuestras actividades bajo el Proyecto ACP MEA Fase 3, una asociación conjunta entre la Unión Europea, la Organización de Estados de África, el Caribe y el Pacífico, ONU Programa de Medio Ambiente y Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Agricultura y la Alimentación.
