Get ready Guyana because big things are coming! 🇬🇾

We would like to introduce deck barge “Alpha III” - the newest member of our fleet.

She is a new build barge, carries a 2500 ton capacity, and will be paired with a new tugboat (pictures coming soon!) that rivals our flagship “Alpha I” vessel.

Alpha III will arrive in Guyana’s waters in the coming weeks and will be one of the highest capacity barges in the country when she arrives.

Today in Kwakwani (Region 10), a pontoon crossing 2 container trucks started to sink.

Luckily, Alpha Marine’s tug “Isaac” happened to be nearby loading logs onto one of our own barges when we received the distress call. We quickly ceased operations to assist.

Utilizing tug, barge, and excavator, we were able to provide rescue services to the sinking vessel and the submerged container trucks before they sustained further damage.

One of our longest standing business relationships has been with the esteemed Gafsons Industries — one of Guyana’s largest suppliers of hardware and construction materials.

Alpha Marine mines its own white sand and transports it via tug and barge to Gafsons Industries for sale to the public.

Shown below is tugboat “Isaac” delivering two barges of sand, which we offload onto the Gafsons wharf utilizing 2 excavators.

Earlier this week, tug “Mikhail” set out with 1 barge and 2 excavators to dredge a client’s wharf facility on the Demerara river.

Alpha Marine ensures an even dredging job by employing sonar surveys. Be sure to keep your wharf in top operational form by contacting us for dredging and wharf maintenance! 🇬🇾

Yesterday, Alpha Marine’s Tug “Alpha I” es**rted Tug “Crimson Victory” and Barge “Crimson Tide” from Sea Buoy to Port Georgetown. We then assisted them in docking at the John Fernandes wharf and, when they completed their work, es**rted them out of Port Georgetown.

Alpha Marine is proud to introduce “Alpha II” — the newest member of our fleet!

This 20 passenger vessel is a pilot boat that we recently acquired and here she is pictured in dry dock being prepped for her first job.

When she comes out of dry dock, “Alpha II” will be commencing work shuttling offshore oil and gas personnel from Port Georgetown to larger vessels that await in deeper waters.

We can’t wait to see her in action! 🇬🇾
