September is Amerindian Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the history, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Guyana's Indigenous Peoples.
Guyana's first peoples have long maintained a deep connection to the country's forests, rivers, and landscapes. Their knowledge of the natural environment continues to play an important role in protecting biodiversity and shaping sustainable practices throughout the hinterland.
GGDMA proudly joins the nation in recognizing and celebrating Amerindian Heritage Month.
