Important Notice for Minor Visa Applicants

An original birth certificate must be presented at the visa interview for all non-immigrant visa applicants under age 14. Photocopies or digital copies will not be accepted.

Reminder: Current regulations require that all children under age 14 must now appear for the visa interview with at least one parent. If a minor applicant is appearing with a guardian, the guardian must present the child's birth certificate and a court document granting legal custody or guardianship of the child.

Important update for Guyanese passport applicants.

The Central Immigration and Passport Department is expected to introduce a new digital system requiring applicants to complete passport applications online and schedule appointments before visiting passport offices.

This marks another step toward improving efficiency and modernizing public services in Guyana.
