When great GGI partners meet!

The Centre for Local Business Development and LearnCorp International recently had sit down to learn of the work and impact each organisation has had in building and strengthening capacity in Guyana!

The Centre is known for the impact it has had and continues to have in building the supply chain in Guyana. Under its pillar of Economic Development, The Greater Guyana Initiative has supported programmes such as AccelerateHer, ElevateAll, Community Business Talks, Awareness Sessions and more.

LearnCorp International has helped to enhance the quality of technical training and elevate the standard of technical education at the student level in Guyana through support under GGI’s pillar of Education and Training. Most notably with the TVET institutions in Regions 3, 5, 6, and 10.

We think moments like this are worth sharing and remembering. Happy to be partners in Guyana’s developmet story!

We bet you are wondering how are the Accelerator 2026 ladies doing? In one word – impactful!

On Monday, the AccelerateHer Programme did a special “Table Talks” session for the Phase 2 cohort focusing on mental wellness and entrepreneurial resilience. Table Talks Sessions are informal learning engagements within the Centre’s entrepreneurship programmes, introduced by the programme facilitators, when they have identified emerging topics that would benefit participants but fall outside the formal capacity-building curriculum. These sessions provide a flexible platform for deeper discussion and personal development through one-on-one conversations, fireside chats, or panel discussions. Past Table Talks have explored topics such as managing mental health of your team, navigating the corporate landscape as a female entrepreneur, personal and professional development journeys, and more.

This year special guest facilitator, Michelle S. Moseley, Ph.D., MBA, FMA, OPD, CLC, led a “From Survival to Strategy: Building Resilient Women-Led Businesses and Mental Wellness and Entrepreneurial Resilience”.

The session helped the participants to understand and explore how women entrepreneurs can move beyond the day-to-day operations of their companies to focus on intentional planning, sustainability, risk management, and long-term growth, while also addressing the personal challenges of entrepreneurship. Participants gained practical strategies for strengthening their business foundations, navigating uncertainty, and building resilient enterprises, alongside insights on managing stress, preventing burnout, maintaining confidence, setting boundaries, and fostering emotional well-being to support effective leadership and sustainable success.

Stay tuned to see what is next!

The AccelerateHer 2026 Programme is made possible by support from The Greater Guyana Initiative.
