This morning, employees from our Corporate Office joined the Guyana Cancer Foundation's Walk in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, standing alongside fellow participants, fighters, and survivors in a collective show of solidarity with individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

The walk provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of early detection, regular screenings, and timely medical care, while recognizing the strength and resilience of those navigating cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

The activity also highlighted the importance of community support, compassion, and collective action in addressing the challenges faced by individuals affected by cancer. On October 13th, 2026, AGM conducted a Career Guidance and Industry Awareness Session with first- and second-year students of the University of Guyana, pursuing studies in Applied Exploration and Geology and Petroleum Engineering.

The session was facilitated by Mervin De los Santos, Exploration Geology Superintendent, and Yamani Armstrong, Underground Geologist, who shared insights into their professional experiences and the practical application of geological knowledge within a large-scale mining operation.

The engagement explored several technical aspects of the mining industry, including mineral exploration, geological mapping, core logging, drilling operations, mineral identification, and the role of geology in underground mining. Students were also introduced to the importance of workplace health and safety and the integration of modern technologies in mining operations.

On this World Mental Health Day, AGM joins the global observance of World Mental Health Day under the theme “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” recognizing the importance of listening to individuals' experiences, challenging stigma, and ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.

Mental health is an essential part of our overall health, influencing how we think, feel, respond to challenges, build relationships, and navigate our daily lives. Just as we prioritize our physical health, it is equally important to recognize the need to care for our emotional and psychological well-being.

As we observe this important day, we encourage everyone to take time for self-care, practice healthy coping mechanisms, check in on colleagues, friends, and loved ones, and remember that seeking help is a sign of strength.

Your mental health matters. Your well-being matters. You matter. 💚

In observance of World Mental Health Day, our Georgetown Office hosted a mental health awareness session today, October 9, aimed at promoting greater understanding of mental health and encouraging employees to prioritize their emotional and psychological well-being.

The session explored the meaning of mental health and mental illness, why mental health matters, and some of the common misconceptions surrounding mental health conditions. Employees also gained valuable insights into stress management, healthy coping mechanisms, recognizing when additional support may be needed, and the importance of seeking professional help.

As part of the observance, employees were presented with small plants, symbolizing growth, resilience, and the importance of consistent care for our mental well-being. Just as plants require attention, nurturing, and the right environment to thrive, maintaining good mental health requires ongoing care, healthy habits, and a supportive environment.

AGM Inc. is proud to be featured by Inside Mining in “The Next Generation of Guyanese Gold Mining.”

This feature reflects something larger than the evolution of a single mine. It captures how responsible resource development, disciplined investment and national development can converge within one operating model.

At the Aurora Gold Mine, AGM is advancing a major transition toward underground mining while integrating renewable energy, strengthening environmental and social performance, developing Guyanese talent, expanding opportunities for local businesses and building the infrastructure required for long-term operational resilience. Each element serves a common objective: converting Guyana’s mineral endowment into enduring economic and social value.

Our measure of progress therefore extends beyond ounces produced. We look equally at the capability transferred to our workforce, opportunities created across the domestic supply chain, environmental performance achieved, communities supported and institutional partnerships strengthened. These outcomes define the quality of growth as much as production itself.

As Guyana enters a new phase of economic development, AGM’s responsibility is clear: operate to high standards, invest with a long-term horizon and ensure the value generated from mining extends beyond the mine. We thank Inside Mining for documenting this chapter of our journey, and our employees, contractors, communities, government agencies and partners whose work continues to shape the next generation of Guyanese gold mining.

As Amerindian Heritage Month 2026 came to a close, AGM marked the occasion on September 30 with a cultural celebration at our Corporate Office, hosted by The Nine Nations. The event brought employees together to appreciate and celebrate Guyana’s rich Indigenous heritage.

The activity featured traditional food and drinks, along with an interactive craft session, providing colleagues with an opportunity to experience aspects of Indigenous culture while enjoying a day of creativity, learning, and togetherness.

The celebration also provided an opportunity to reflect on the history, traditions, knowledge, creativity, and contributions of Guyana’s Indigenous peoples, and the important role Indigenous culture continues to play in shaping our country’s diverse national identity.

Yesterday, representatives of AGM joined the Guyana Cancer Foundation’s Tree Wrapping Ceremony, standing alongside members of the wider community in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The annual tree-wrapping initiative uses the symbolic display of pink to raise awareness of breast cancer and recognize the courage of those navigating diagnosis and treatment, survivors, and the families and caregivers who support them.

As the trees are wrapped in pink, may they serve as visible reminders of hope, strength, compassion, and solidarity with everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer. Throughout October and beyond, let us continue to encourage conversations about breast health, support those on their cancer journey, and remind one another that no one should have to face that journey alone.

AGM joins the global observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month under the theme “Every Story Is Unique, Every Journey Matters.” The theme recognizes that every person affected by breast cancer has a different experience and deserves compassion, dignity, and access to quality care.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of early detection, regular screening, timely medical care, and supporting those navigating diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

This October, we stand in solidarity with patients, survivors, and their loved ones, honouring their courage and reminding everyone that no one should have to face breast cancer alone.
