ISSUANCE NG OFW EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE, PAPERLESS NA SIMULA OCT. 15

Simula sa October 15 ay gagawin nang paperless ang issuance ng overseas employment certificate (OEC), ayon kay Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Susan Ople.

Ibig sabihin, magiging accessible na sa overseas Filipino workers (OFW) ang dokumento sa pamamagitan ng kanilang smartphones at hindi na sila kailangan pang magsadya sa Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) upang makakuha ng nabanggit na dokumento.

Ang hakbang ay alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na i-automate at digitize ang issuance ng OEC.

Ang OEC ay ginagamit bilang travel clearance o exit pass sa airport at exemption ng OFWs sa pagbabayad ng travel tax at terminal fees. Katunayan din ito na dokumentado ang isang Pinoy worker.

“Gagawin nating paperless at mobile phone-friendly ang inyong OEC, by October 15, ang mangyayari magda-download kayo ng inyong OEC sa inyong mga telepono at iyon na ang ipapakita niyo sa Bureau of Immigration at sa airport natin,” ang pahayag ni Ople.

Sa katapusan ng buwan ng Setyembre ay isasagawa ng DMW ang alpha at beta test phase ng digital payments para sa OEC sa Pilipinas. (mula sa ulat ni Correspondent Bert Cerrudo)

【New boarding, quarantine and testing arrangements for inbound travellers 】

From 0.00am on 1 April 2022 (Hong Kong time), Hong Kong residents who have stayed in any overseas places in the previous 14 days can board a flight for Hong Kong only if they comply with the following conditions:
1️⃣ Fully vaccinated and hold a recognised vaccination record;
2️⃣ Hold a negative result proof of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based nucleic acid test for COVID-19 conducted with specimen collected within 48 hours before the scheduled time of departure of the aircraft; and
3️⃣ Hold a confirmation of room reservation in a designated quarantine hotel (DQH) for 7 or 14 nights from the day of arrival at Hong Kong (depending on whether they could meet the relevant conditions and choose early discharge from compulsory quarantine)

The relevant persons will be subject to the "test-and-hold" arrangement upon arrival at the Hong Kong International Airport. Upon tested negative with a PCR-based nucleic acid test, they will be taken to DQHs by designated transport to undergo compulsory quarantine. 🛡️
