天成國際於昨天舉行的2021年珠寶及翡翠秋季拍賣會已圓滿結束。會上最矚目之拍品為一枚17.01克拉天然艷彩黃色VS1淨度鑽石戒指，競投氣氛熾熱，由420萬港元開始起拍，最終由藏家以642萬港元／82.3萬美元成功投得。亮麗的黃鑽份量顯赫，簡約的鑲嵌設計讓輝煌金光表露無遺，璀璨奪目。

另一亮點為一枚Harry Winston出品的8.60克拉天然哥倫比亞無經處理祖母綠戒指，以336萬港元／43.1萬美元成交。此枚產自哥倫比亞的瑰寶並未經注油優化處理，擁有豐潤迷人的色彩與無可媲美的淨度，加上經典品牌Harry Winston的光環，值得珍藏。

今次拍賣的紅寶石珍品備受藏家青睞，當中包括一顆以198萬港元／25.4萬美元成交的7.15克拉天然緬甸抹谷無經加熱處理「鴿血紅」紅寶石戒指。紅寶石呈現被譽為頂級的「鴿血紅」色澤，絢爛光輝無與倫比。

Tiancheng International Jewellery and Jadeite Autumn Auction 2021 concluded yesterday. The top lot was a 17.01-Carat Natural Fancy Vivid Yellow VS1 Clarity Diamond Ring. Bidding opened at HK$ 4.2 million and after a bidding battle, it was eventually sold for HK$ 6.42 million/US$ 823,000. This ample yellow diamond exudes a glorious golden hue, rendering it a spectacular sight to behold.

Another highlight was an 8.60-Carat Natural Untreated Colombian Emerald Ring by Harry Winston which achieved HK$ 3.36 million/ US$ 431,000. Free of any oil enhancements, it is endowed with a mesmerising green hue and unrivalled clarity.

There were keen interests in rubies at the auction, which included a 7.15-Carat Natural Unheated Burmese "Pigeon's Blood" Ruby Ring that fetched HK$ 1.98 million／US$ 254,000. This ruby glows with the most desirable “pigeon’s blood” colour, rendering it the epitome of opulence.

Connie Huang, Managing Director and Head of Jewellery Department of Tiancheng International, commented, “The results demonstrate that buyers are more selective nowadays. We witnessed strong demand for top quality gemstones and pieces from prestigious jewellers. 紅寶石最為知名的產地莫過於來自擁有數千年開採歷史的緬甸抹谷的紅寶石礦。抹谷的「鴿血紅」紅寶石，擁有純淨濃艷的紅色至紫紅色色澤，閃爍生輝。緬甸紅寶石的天然結晶細小，因而很難出產大克拉的紅寶石。如今，3克拉以上的緬甸無經加熱處理「鴿血紅」紅寶石已達收藏級別，5克拉以上更是十分罕見。

除了緬甸之外，越南、斯里蘭卡、莫桑比克等地的紅寶石也品質優秀，卓越不凡，在拍場上備受矚目。越南紅寶石濃郁鮮明的色澤及透徹的淨度可與抹谷紅寶石的品質媲美。其顏色一般為帶有光澤的、微微呈甜美粉色調的紅色，綻放動人光彩。大部分的越南紅寶石不多於2克拉，而高達5克拉以上、品質卓越的天然無經處理越南紅寶石更是麟毛鳳角。

相較之下，莫桑比克紅寶石礦床的元素含量與其他產地有著明顯的分別，其出產的紅寶石一般淨度較高而且大多呈現濃郁飽和的紅色，顏色分佈平均，原石晶體亦較為完整。

The valley of Mogok in Burma is the most highly acclaimed ruby mining area in the world. Mogok’s “Pigeon’s Blood” rubies range from a pure vibrant red to slightly purplish red colour. Burmese rubies are typically smaller in size. It is hard to come across rubies that carry a high carat weight. Nowadays, an unheated Burmese “Pigeon’s Blood” ruby over three carats is considered rare and high in collectible value, while rubies over five carats are exceedingly rare.

Apart from Burma, good-quality rubies are produced in many countries in the world, including Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Mozambique. Vietnamese rubies possess vivid colour and exceptional crystalline clarity that can rival those from Mogok in appearance. They usually have a glow of pinkish hue and are of lively brilliance. The majority size of Vietnamese rubies is less than 2 carats. Therefore, a natural untreated Vietnamese ruby of fine quality is very rare; let alone a special stone over 5 carats.

The element composition in Mozambican ruby deposits varies from their counterparts. The rubies are in general cleaner in appearance and rich in colour, and the roughs are usually in blocky shapes.

In recent years, new emerald deposits have been discovered in Zambia, making the country as one of the major origins of emeralds, competing with Colombia and Brazil.
