China is owning the global battery race. In short, China has built a wide-ranging lithium battery strategy over the past decade and executed that strategy to powerful effect. “The policies allowed them to build the foundations of an electric vehicle supply chain,” Li told Grid. “Now they are leveraging that position to become a global power.”
