"RISING STARS............." all available @ TERROIR Wines & Spirits
Chateau Soleil 2005 ......................
>> 89-91 Points Robert Parker: "This lower pedigree wine represents undeniable quality/value rapport … so deep in quality among the better run, less heralded estates, that these wines should appeal to readers looking for terrific values from Bordeaux."
>> Wine Spectator (James Sucking): 88/100 Points
>> Stephen Tanzer: 87/100 Points
Chateau Soleil 2006..................
>> 85-88 Points Wine Spectator (James Sucking): "Shows good ripe fruit, with chocolate and berry character. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a long finish. Well done. Almost 89-91."
Chateau Soleil 2007...............
>> 84-88 Points James Suckling: "Aromatic and very pretty on the nose, with plum and cherry. Medium-bodied, with a balance of fine tannins and a fresh finish."
>> 85-88 Points Stephen Tanzer: "Bright, dark red. Red berries, dark cherry and chocolate on the nose. Juicy and reasonably sweet, with bright acidity and firm minerality giving this wine good grip. Riper than the 2006 here. From a high plateau in Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion. The 75% merlot component was harvested with potential alcohol up to 14%."
>> Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2010 - GOLD

Chateau Soleil 2009 .....................
>> 88-91 Points - Wine Spectator (James Suckling): "Coffee and dried fruits that turn to prune on the nose. Full-bodied, with loads of tannins that are a little overextracted. Should come out very good."
>> 87-88 Points Robert Parker: "The regular cuvee from the satellite village of Puisseguin, St.-Emillion, the 2009 Soleil is a blend of 80% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. It exhibits an up-front, soft, silky style, medium body, plenty of delicious red and black fruit, and an uncomplicated, generous, savory style. Drink it over the next 4-5 years...... Stefan von Neipperg is the force behind both of these estates."

Chateau Soleil Promesse 2007...............
>> Concours Mondial Bruxelles 2010 - GOLD
"2007 Promesse is a very fruity and attractive wine. It is aged with a lower proportion of new barrels and can be enjoyed as of now as well as within a few more years of cellaring.
"
Chateau Soleil Promesse 2008..................
>> 88 Points - Wine Spectator (James Molesworth): A ripe, flattering style, with forward linzer torte and crushed boysenberry fruit backed by sweet spice and toast on the open-knit finish. Drink now. 2,500 cases made."
Chateau Solail Cuvee Le Rival 2009 .................
>> 91 Points Robert Parker: "The 2009 Soleil Le Rival comes from their top 10-acre parcel and is a completely different wine in terms of richness, fullness and intensity. Opaque ruby/purple, with notes of black cherry jam as well as creme de cassis, licorice and subtle smoke, this wine is impressively endowed, full-bodied, and displays a lot more minerality and structure. Although it is drinkable now, it should last for 7-10 years. It is a final blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc."
>> 89 Points Wine Spectator: "An overt, modern style, with dark mocha and espresso notes that are supple and nicely woven into the fabric of dark plum and blackberry fruit. Has the acidity to stay balanced, too. Nicely done. Drink now through 2015."
