Facts & Myths of Body & Mind
We all know that our system is practically sick care activated only when we already have the of a . The healthcare system mainly treats the symptoms.... This is too late and ineffective.
We need at least healthcare starting in younger ages with more attention to education, frequent check ups and sensors to check our biomarkers. Some authors call it Medicine 3.0 and it can help a lot among others with diabetes 2, heart diseases and many types of cancer.
In fact we need to go one step ahead and focus on . Preventive healthcare is an in-between step.
Research is on going and every few years new breakthroughs are emerging.
The last 12 months I read a lot about the & and especially which is about living longer but healthy life and I experience a personal health transformation.
Additionally I share a few myths and facts about our precious body because there is still a lot of disinformation and manipulation from a partially or almost corrupted healthcare system.
1. Myth: There is connection between cholesterol in food and cholesterol in the blood. Instead it is all about how well we metabolize the food we consume.
Healthy is the essence of health. This needs healthy nutrition and more.
2. Fact: As there is No pain center in the brain we do not know how pain works ....
3. Fact: Alzheimer's and Dementia are not the same. There are approx hundred different types of Dementia and Alzheimer's is the most common one.
4. Fact: We became much better at extending our lives but not necessarily better at extending the quality of life.
Lifespan Yes, Healthspan No.
5. Myth: Cancer cells grow faster than noncancerous cells. They just do not stop growing when they are supposed to do.
6. Myth: We use only 10% of our brain
7. Fact: We do not have the same smell. Different people smell differently e.g. a flower because we do not have the same type of smell receptors
8. Fact: Chronic diseases are mainly due to oxidation processes and they are created from unhealthy nutrition (processed foods, unhealthy fats, high sugar consumption, overeating/obesity,.... ), inadequate exercise, low water consumption, smoking, stress, excessive alcohol drinking, unhealthy air,....
9. Fact: Medicines/pharmaceutical drugs must be the last resort and they are not the solution as they treat the symptoms.
Summarizing my personal experience (Losing 9 kilos of fat, eliminating blood pressure, changing my lipid profile from red to green and transforming my metabolism to very healthy) for a healthy body & mind we need:
1. Early checkups
2. The right nutrition
3. Mild exercise
4. Good sleep
5. Emotional health
