Facts & Myths of Body & Mind

We all know that our system is practically sick care activated only when we already have the of a . The healthcare system mainly treats the symptoms.... This is too late and ineffective.
We need at least healthcare starting in younger ages with more attention to education, frequent check ups and sensors to check our biomarkers. Some authors call it Medicine 3.0 and it can help a lot among others with diabetes 2, heart diseases and many types of cancer.
In fact we need to go one step ahead and focus on . Preventive healthcare is an in-between step.
Research is on going and every few years new breakthroughs are emerging.

The last 12 months I read a lot about the & and especially which is about living longer but healthy life and I experience a personal health transformation.
Additionally I share a few myths and facts about our precious body because there is still a lot of disinformation and manipulation from a partially or almost corrupted healthcare system.

1. Myth: There is connection between cholesterol in food and cholesterol in the blood. Instead it is all about how well we metabolize the food we consume.
Healthy is the essence of health. This needs healthy nutrition and more.

2. Fact: As there is No pain center in the brain we do not know how pain works ....

3. Fact: Alzheimer's and Dementia are not the same. There are approx hundred different types of Dementia and Alzheimer's is the most common one.

4. Fact: We became much better at extending our lives but not necessarily better at extending the quality of life.
Lifespan Yes, Healthspan No.

5. Myth: Cancer cells grow faster than noncancerous cells. They just do not stop growing when they are supposed to do.

6. Myth: We use only 10% of our brain

7. Fact: We do not have the same smell. Different people smell differently e.g. a flower because we do not have the same type of smell receptors

8. Fact: Chronic diseases are mainly due to oxidation processes and they are created from unhealthy nutrition (processed foods, unhealthy fats, high sugar consumption, overeating/obesity,.... ), inadequate exercise, low water consumption, smoking, stress, excessive alcohol drinking, unhealthy air,....

9. Fact: Medicines/pharmaceutical drugs must be the last resort and they are not the solution as they treat the symptoms.

Summarizing my personal experience (Losing 9 kilos of fat, eliminating blood pressure, changing my lipid profile from red to green and transforming my metabolism to very healthy) for a healthy body & mind we need:

1. Early checkups
2. The right nutrition
3. Mild exercise
4. Good sleep
5. Emotional health

Start-up Founders: Personal Development

As is accelerating and becomes obsolete fast, the need to learn, unlearn and relearn becomes a vital part of life together with frequently devoting time for personal development. is great for and it is a good practice to frequently reflect, analyse and summarize what you have learned in your life.

Having said all that, most of the start-up founders do not allocate time for their personal development and the same applies for most of their team members.
Not many founders know the
Packard's Law:

"No company can grow revenues consistently faster than its ability to get enough of the right people (add in the right seat) to implement that and still become a great company"

Consequently personal development needs to become a priority not only in established companies but also in start-ups and scale-ups in order to be able to grow faster.

A few of the important personal development attributes are mentioned below:

- Everything starts by knowing yourself and others. In the schools the focus is on academic education, neglecting the fact that our IQ does not improve after the early teenage years while our (Emotional Intelligence) can develop and grow at any age. Developing your emotional intelligence is essential.

- Devote time to develop yourself continuously and polish your strengths.
development is more important than improving what are called weaknesses....

- Believe in yourself and do not take anything personal as people express themselves and not you

- Do not compare with others as all of us have our own individual life journey

- Focus on 1 thing at a time, no multitasking

- Set big goals, be decisive and act

- Do not make assumptions, instead ask questions

- Be positive, open minded and curious

- Do always your best and invest time in others

- Be for what you have which is the door to abundance

- Know what you can control. We can influence others but we do not control others.

As all of us have a limited life on planet earth, a summary conclusion to draw is:

“Success is not what you accomplish in your life. It is about what you inspire others to do”

What about you? Do you care about your personal development?
What do you do?
Do you to others?
Can you share your best practice?

"The Four Agreements" is one of the top 10 books I have ever read that has influenced my thinking and behaviour.
I would strongly recommend it for your personal development.

Do You Want To Reach the Top?
What are your Priorities?

This post needs to travel far!

1. Are you a manager or director and you want to become faster vice president?
2. Are you an employee or a leader and you want to become a great leader?
3. Are you unhappy with your career and you need to find out what you love to do and become successful?

If YES then do not make a bigger effort for more of the same:

- You put a lot of effort to become better in your function
- You think that you are a good leader but you have many blind spots and nobody tells you....
- You go for training and you do not apply anything.....
- You have focused so much on your job that you forgot to embrace basic life principles of success
- Do you need to unlearn some bad behavioral habits developed through successes?

So what are the life principles leading to your personal success?

1. Believing in yourself and accepting responsibility for your life: You really are capable of amazing things. Believe in yourself, and surround yourself with others who believe in you. When you accept responsibility, you assume complete control of your life.

2. Knowing what you can control. Everybody can control: His/hers words, actions, ideas, responses, behavior, effort and mistakes. Things outside of your control are: Other People’s actions, words, mistakes, feelings, ideas and behavior.

3. Do not take anything personal. This is a difficult one and it is based on the following truth: Everybody talking about you expresses only his own mind. Consequently whatever anybody says about you expresses only his/hers view and NOT YOU!.

4. Do not make any assumptions .We have the tendency to make assumptions for everything. It is always better to ask questions than to make an assumption because assumptions set us up for stress and suffering.

5. Stop comparing with others. Comparison is futile as it does not make any sense to compare with others (everybody has his own life journey). There's always someone who's a bit better. There is no more accurate measure than comparing with yourself.

6. Living in the present. You can learn a thing or two from a child. Their minds only fixate on the playground around them. They purely enjoy themselves in the moment: running, laughing and playing. Every moment that passes by you, is another moment that you can’t get back. Only living in the present makes sense.

7. Invest time in others. How would it feel if you were sick in the hospital and not a single soul came to visit? Invest some of the time you have in caring for the people close and around you, even if it means sacrificing some personal time.

8. Being Grateful for what you have to receive more. Being grateful and giving makes us all happy. Being happy we are more productive and create more value. When you create more value you start to create abundance!. Gratitude is the door to Abundance.

Do You Know Yourself ?

We are all so different and finding as early as possible what you love to do and what are your strengths will be so vital for your happiness, your personal success in whatever way you define it and your contribution to society.

Consequently devoting time and finding the above mentioned deserves your attention as early as possible in your life. It is even more important than the basic subjects we study at school.

To find out you need to study relevant personal development books, try out various internships, reflect on your activities/actions to find out what you love and you are good at, talk to people you respect, listen, understand and avoid parents pressure for the jobs they think are good for you, talk to relevant mentors and experts including your parents if applicable, about what you think you like to do,....

Do you know yourself?
Do you devote time to find out?
