☀️🌡️ As temperatures rise, plant design for a hotter climate plays a critical role in maintaining solar PV performance, battery efficiency and long-term system reliability. Solar modules can operate significantly above ambient temperatures, reducing power output, while heat can also increase thermal stress on inverters, electrical infrastructure and battery storage systems.

For PV and BESS projects, managing heat should begin at the plant design stage. Key considerations include:
🔹 Minimising heat build-up and ensuring adequate ventilation
🔹 Providing appropriate shading for battery storage and critical equipment
🔹 Optimising the placement of storage containers, inverters and electrical infrastructure
🔹 Designing effective cooling systems to maintain battery performance, lifespan and safety
🔹 Ensuring accessibility for inspection, maintenance and emergency response

NEFIN recognises that maximising renewable energy generation is not simply about installing more solar panels—it is about designing resilient energy systems that perform reliably under real-world conditions.

Through thoughtful solar plant/farm design, solar PV, BESS and energy management solutions, NEFIN helps businesses optimise clean energy generation while building systems that are better prepared for rising temperatures and a changing climate.

Smarter design today. More resilient renewable energy for tomorrow. Partner your corporations with NEFIN for a greener future.

As Southeast Asia accelerates its clean energy transition, renewable energy deployment must be matched by investments in resilient grid infrastructure.

Recent industry insights highlight that grid constraints, policy uncertainty, and permitting delays remain key barriers to renewable energy growth across the region. At the same time, rising electricity demand driven by digitalisation and AI is making grid modernisation and energy storage more important than ever.

NEFIN 立盈 believes the energy transition extends beyond generating renewable power. Delivering a cleaner, more resilient energy future requires integrated solutions that combine solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and smart energy management to maximise grid reliability, energy security, and long-term sustainability.

Through collaboration with businesses, utilities, and governments across Asia, we are committed to helping accelerate the region's decarbonisation journey—developing energy systems for investors that are not only cleaner, but also more reliable and future-ready.

Taiwan is taking another step towards a low-carbon future. ☀️

Starting 1 August, newly constructed, expanded or renovated buildings with a floor area exceeding 1,000m² will be required to install rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The new regulation is expected to add approximately 660MW of solar capacity annually, accelerating Taiwan's renewable energy transition.

The policy will:
🔋 Increase rooftop solar deployment across commercial and industrial buildings.
⚡ Support the growing electricity demand from the semiconductor and AI industries.
🌱 Help businesses achieve carbon reduction targets and align with global initiatives such as RE100 and the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
🏙️ Strengthen urban energy resilience through distributed clean energy generation.

As Taiwan advances its clean energy agenda, rooftop solar is becoming more than a compliance requirement—it is a strategic investment that lowers energy costs, reduces carbon emissions and strengthens long-term business competitiveness.

NEFIN Taiwan goes beyond rooftop solar to help businesses unlock the full potential with customised renewable energy solutions that support decarbonisation and sustainable growth with solar farms and green electricity trading.

Power Your Business with Clean Energy and Stay Ahead of Taiwan's Carbon Fee.

Taiwan collected NT$4.97 billion in its first carbon fee cycle, with 461 regulated factories and 240 companies completing their declarations. The semiconductor industry contributed the largest share at NT$2.2 billion (45%), followed by the power, chemical, steel, petroleum, cement, PCB, plastics, electronic components and optoelectronics industries.

As carbon fee scheme becomes a long-term reality, businesses can reduce both emissions and carbon costs by taking proactive steps:

✅ Transition from coal to natural gas or biomass fuels

☀️ Invest in rooftop solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to reduce grid electricity consumption

⚡ Improve energy efficiency through equipment upgrades and process optimisation

📋 Develop credible carbon reduction plans to qualify for preferential carbon fee rates

💰 Leverage green financing and government incentives to accelerate decarbonisation investments

While Taiwan recorded its first decline in energy-sector emissions compared to the 2005 baseline, rising electricity demand from AI and semiconductor manufacturing highlights the urgent need to scale renewable energy deployment.

At NEFIN, we help businesses across Asia reduce carbon emissions through customised solar, energy storage and carbon neutrality solutions—helping organisations lower operating costs, strengthen ESG performance and prepare for a low-carbon future.
