“Healthier is wealthier!”

Investing in African health systems is an opportunity to accelerate economic development and growth.

Africa accounts for 50%of global deaths from communicable diseases. Poor health outcomes reflect a lack of access to quality health services: a third of Africans live more than two hours away from health services, and there are severe shortages in hospital beds, medical equipment, and drugs.

Algeria’s infrastructure system is highly important, as it serves as a gateway between North Africa and Europe.

Priority projects for the government includes rail systems, roads, airport modernization and ports.

It’s vast territorial expanse and the needs of its large and growing population, Algeria requires significant ongoing investments in its civil infrastructure.  Over the last two decades, the country has invested $12 billion in its road system, including completing two national expressways running from east to west and north to south.

The government anticipates spending $41 billion between 2020 and 2025 for infrastructure modernization and expansion.

In addition, by 2030, the government plans to invest around $6 billion to link all Algerian ports to the railway network to facilitate the transport of goods to Mali, Niger, Mauritania, Chad, and Nigeria.

Le système d'infrastructures algérien est très important, car il sert de porte d'entrée entre l'Afrique du Nord et l'Europe.

Les projets prioritaires pour le gouvernement comprennent les systèmes ferroviaires, les routes, la modernisation des aéroports et les ports.

Sa vaste étendue territoriale et les besoins de sa population nombreuse et croissante, l'Algérie a besoin d'importants investissements continus dans ses infrastructures civiles. Au cours des deux dernières décennies, le pays a investi 12 milliards de dollars dans son réseau routier, y compris l'achèvement de deux autoroutes nationales allant d'est en ouest et du nord au sud.

Le gouvernement prévoit de dépenser 41 milliards de dollars entre 2020 et 2025 pour la modernisation et l'expansion de l'infrastructure.

En outre, d'ici 2030, le gouvernement prévoit d'investir environ 6 milliards de dollars pour relier tous les ports algériens au réseau ferroviaire afin de faciliter le transport de marchandises vers le Mali, le Niger, la Mauritanie, le Tchad et le Nigeria.

In the past decade and a half, Angola has prioritized the repair, expansion and modernization of its infrastructure as a central element of post-civil war reconstruction and economic development. Infrastructure made a net contribution of around 1 percentage point to Angola's improved per capita growth performance in recent years, despite unreliable power supplies and poor roads, which each holding back growth by 0.2 percentage points. As a resource-rich, post conflict country, Angola has shown an exceptionally strong commitment to financing the reconstruction and expansion of its infrastructure.
Angola needs to upgrade its electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure. Angola's infrastructure needs are manageable relative to its fast-growing economy, as long as the country can address inefficiencies.

Au cours des quinze dernières années, l'Angola a donné la priorité à la réparation, à l'expansion et à la modernisation de ses infrastructures en tant qu'élément central de la reconstruction et du développement économique après la guerre civile. Les infrastructures ont apporté une contribution nette d'environ 1 point de pourcentage à l'amélioration de la croissance par habitant de l'Angola ces dernières années, malgré des approvisionnements en électricité peu fiables et des routes en mauvais état, qui freinent chacun la croissance de 0,2 point de pourcentage. En tant que pays sortant d'un conflit et riche en ressources, l'Angola a fait preuve d'un engagement exceptionnellement fort pour financer la reconstruction et l'expansion de ses infrastructures.
L'Angola doit moderniser ses infrastructures de transport et de distribution d'électricité. Les besoins en infrastructures de l'Angola sont gérables par rapport à son économie à croissance rapide, tant que le pays peut remédier aux inefficacités.

Africa has the highest school exclusion rate in the world with the youngest population. In addition, the demand for education is ever increasing due to a growing school-age population. Despite much progress made in recent years, there are still many challenges in providing quality education in the region. The education of young girls remains one of the greatest priorities because they are the most excluded from the education system starting from an early age.
