Last week, C Block Capital and Singularity Financial, visited Seoul, Korea! We attended the annual Asian Leadership Conference 2019 (http://alcchosun.com/eng/main.asp), organized by an outstanding team, Chaineer (a Chris & Partners company).

World leaders, scholars, and top business executives attended this conference, also known as "Mini Davos." Topics covered were the U.S. & China Trade War, effective leadership, the financial markets, emerging technologies, including Blockchain, and so on.

In addition, we met with the top players in the blockchain space in South Korea, including Hashed, Ground X, Block Crafters Co., Blockwater Management, Chain Partners, Block72, DeCentre, CHAINERS and more. Big thanks to everyone who took the time to meet with the C Block Capital Group team. We look forward to bridging the gaps between the Hong Kong and the South Korean markets!

C Block Capital would like to thank Pentabase & BoostX for their outstanding efforts and for organizing the DLT101 conference successfully (https://www.dlt101.io/) in Taipei, Taiwan on April 24-27, 2019!

Our very own, Jonathan Lee, spoke on behalf of C Block Capital on a panel discussion regarding "Challenges and (Im)maturity of the STO Ecosystem" with other experts in the space.

Taiwan is currently discussing opening up legal frameworks that would propel STOs forward. We will learn the outcome in June/July. C Block Capital looks forward to the next DLT101 conference in 2020!

On Tuesday April 9, C Block Capital was pleased to host a sold-out event on the topic of Artificial Intelligence with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong on the effects and ethics of AI on our society.

CanCham also brought in an all-star panel from Hanson Robotics Limited, SenseTime Group, ASTRI, and CLSA.

A couple of key learnings & takeaways include:
- Although AI can be better than humans in certain functions, AI and humans working together will produce the best results
- The problem isn't AI replacing humans -- it's the speed & pace of change and the challenge is that humans must keep up with this change
