URBANPROJECTS is delighted to announce our recognition at the 2023 A&D Awards.
Our Mt. La Vie development, on Lantau Island, won the Bronze medal in the ‘Residential Architecture’ category.
Comprising six unique homes on a steeply sloping site overlooking Cheung Sha bay, the enclave sets new standards for luxury living in the region.
The awards were presented during a gala dinner held at the Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong on 25 January.
Congratulations are also due to our client, Sino Ocean, and all consultants/contractors involved, this is a great achievement, well done to all!

URBANPROJECTS’ founder and managing director, Forhad Ullah has attended an event at the firm’s Kempinski Residences, Guangzhou.
Forhad was invited as a keynote speaker to the alumni of the EMBA course at Lingnan College/Carlson School of Management.
The design of the service apartment tower was the subject of the presentation.
Now fully operational, and highly successful, The Kempinski Residences’ planning and architecture were designed by URBANPROJECTS with interior design by Hirsch Bedner Associates, Singapore.
Forhad was also pleased to accept recognition of the project achieving ‘Gold’ accreditation from the LEED green building rating system, another landmark in URBANPROJECTS’ sustainability portfolio.

URBANPROJECTS’ founder & Managing Director, Forhad Ullah has recently represented the HK architecture community as one of 17 delegates at the HKTDC mission to Jakarta.
Between 27 Feb. & 2 Mar., the HK delegation delivered a series of presentations & seminars focused on the evolution of the ‘smart city’.
The gathering was organized in context of the realization of Indonesia’s new Capital City ‘Nusantara’ Borneo.
URBANPROJECTS, with local practice GUJO, had been shortlisted in the 2019 competition to masterplan ‘Nusantara’ and Forhad was pleased to share his insights with local officials & consultants.

Inspired by advances in new Green Energy; URBANPROJECTS has developed prototypes for Hanas Group’s LNG filling stations.
‘Hanas’ stations will be distributed throughout China and beyond, expanding the company’s geographic footprint.
Consisting of a modular system; canopy, signage, storage tanks and shop, striking graphics and dynamic color pallets will differentiate the brands.
A portable unit, for temporary installation in remote off-grid locations, will complement the suite of facilities.
This is a new facet to URBANPROJECTS’ work, for one of our most loyal & strategic clients.

Following the recent success of URBANPROJECTS’ Mt. La Vie development, receiving ‘Best Architectural Design, Housing (China-Hong Kong)’ accolade at the 2021 Asia Property Awards.
We are pleased to share that the project features on the cover of PRC Magazine (105).
Mt. La Vie, comprises six individual residences on Hong Kong’s Lantau Island.
The pragmatic ‘soft contemporary’ language of the villas enhances the relationship between architecture and nature on the steeply contoured site.
A welcome addition to the city’s super luxury market and another successfully completed project for URBANPROJECTS.
