Resident Site Technical Officer (BS) (Secondment to MTR)
Work Location: Different MTR premises in Hong Kong (MTR Office in Fo Tan)
Monthly Salary (Basic): HK$40,000x 13 months (night shift allowance = HK$800 per night)
Responsibilities:
1. Assist Engineer to oversee the management of commercial facilities, including low voltage (LV) electrical systems and builder’s works.
2. Assist the Fire Service team with daily administrative tasks as needed.
3. Manage asset activities, including preparing inventories and supporting asset condition assessments.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant local safety regulations and statutory requirements through regular inspections of the building’s structural integrity, accessibility features, and safety elements, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
5. Supervise and monitor safety and quality standards of project works within designated premises to ensure they meet handover standards.
6. Conduct routine inspections of station facilities, focusing on architectural components, structural elements, and finishes. Assess the condition of building exteriors and interiors, oversee repairs as needed, and perform maintenance to preserve functionality and aesthetics.
7. Respond promptly to emergencies with effective decision-making and coordination. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and improvement activities for future reference, regulatory compliance, and facility management purposes.
Requirements:
• Higher Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic / Control Engineering or equivalent, with 5 years of related experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level; or
• Attained language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in HKCEE / HKDSE or equivalent.
• A valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card)
• Registered Electrical Workers qualification (B0) is required.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Multi-role experience across subcontractor, consultant and client will be an advantage
• Experience in railway environment or MTR projects will be an advantage
• Experience in existing MTR E&M/Building Management System and Environmental Control System Design or Maintenance will be an advantage
• Experience in MTR Asset Management, Report Compilation, Risk Management and Evaluation, work instruction and statutory requirement review will be an advantage
• Obtain MTRC's RSI or even CP(NT/T) qualification is an advantage.
