Operating from 81 branches in over 33 countries. We have successfully completed 1829 consulting projects. Our beneficiaries include Wikimedia, Oxfam, World vision, UNHCR and etc. In 2015, 180DC has opened up a branch in Hong Kong and HKUST is one of two branches in this country. We aim to develop the next generation of social impact leaders, while also transforming good non profits into great ones

via our high-quality and uniquely affordable consulting services. We hope to bring change to Hong Kong NGOs in terms of improving the business model for social enterprises. Hello everyone, the wait is finally over! is proud to present The Social Impact Case Competition 2019 ( )!
This is the perfect opportunity for you if you are interested in social innovation, consulting or if you want to try out something new.

As a participant, you will have the chance to come up with solutions for a current challenge faced by a local NGO. You will also be able to acquire valuable feedback from our judging panel consisting of faculty, PwC mentors, Oliver Wyman mentors, and more.
The winning team will also be rewarded with a fast-track interview to PwC.

Hi, there! Hope everyone of you have a great summer!

As the fall term is around the corner, we would like to announce that 180 Degrees Consulting HKUST branch is now operating with a new leadership team. Get EXCITED because we are ready to make impact through all the projects, trainings, and events arranged.

As what we believe in 180 DC, our COMMUNITY is never only about equipping our associates with a real life experience of being a professional consultant, but also how to create social impact through all the challenging thought process in a diverse teamwork and stakeholders management.

To gain a better picture about our society, and how we have worked to make impact on clients and associates, you are invited to attend one of our info sessions in this coming two weeks. Note that attendance for the info session is required to obtain the application package

On the 6th of April, we are so pleased to have Jacky Tam from Oliver Wyman to deliver a workshop for our consultants. Graduated from HKUST Business School just last year with the major of Global Business and Information Systems, he gave our consultants a very insightful talk about how is it to work in consulting industry. He shared not only about the great exposure and many opportunities in self-development by choosing consulting as a career, but also the dynamics and hurdles of a consultant life proven by his own personal experience. He provided our consultants with a wider view of what consulting really is and details about what kinds of “desk-job” and responsibilities he had to manage as a consultant.

Here is a sharing from one of our project managers:

The guest speaker, Jacky, shared his life of being a consultant in a lively presentation. As a fresh graduate of HKUST who works at Oliver Wyman as a junior consultant, he clarified the common misconceptions towards consultancy and described his daily life. He said, enjoying travel, seeking for challenging work and targeting a fast-track career are qualities for whom to be choose consultant as career. Surprisingly, he has recently participated in a job for CMHA (City Mental Health Alliance), which is a non-governmental organisation that helps corporates to implement strategies for alleviating employees’ stress. He agrees that more and more social innovations and start-ups require consultancy as they want to have a sustainable business model.

“As a year 1/2, you have time to think clearly about what career you really want, as you don’t want your 4-years preparation being wasted on a career that you have no passion at,” this is one of my largest takeaway from Jacky.

Hey guys! We have good news from Oliver Wyman. For the 3rd year running, Oliver Wyman is hosting Oliver Wyman Impact, a case competition for students that have interest pursuing career in consulting. The winner will get a guaranteed final round interview when applying for a full-time / internship position in 2020. In fact, last September, they accepted 2 of the previous case competition winners as their full-time consultants.
