Esri China (Hong Kong) has expressed our support for the standardization and interoperability of the low-altitude economy (LAE).
On September 10, 2026, the Future of Low Altitude Economy: Commercialization & Standardization forum at HKUST brought together government, industry, and academia.
Sr Prof Paul Tsui, CEO of Esri China (Hong Kong), represented the company in supporting the Joint Statement of Intent on Low-Altitude Aviation Standards and Interoperability, alongside more than 50 organizations from Hong Kong, Mainland China, and overseas. Dr. Winnie Tang, MH, JP, Founding Vice President of the Greater Bay Area Low-Altitude Economy Alliance (GBA-LAEA), represented GBA-LAEA as one of the initiating organizations in the signing ceremony. We look forward to advancing a safe, interoperable, and sustainable low-altitude economy in Hong Kong!

Esri China (Hong Kong) was pleased to serve as an event partner of AI for Nature 2026, held by WWF Hong Kong . Our CEO, Sr Prof Paul Tsui, spoke at the panel session “AI for Nature Conservation and Wildlife Monitoring.” He highlighted a LAE Sandbox project, which explored the use of drones to support patrols against illegal fishing. Paul also shared how AI+ GIS applications including satellite imagery analysis to turn environmental insights into practical conservation action.

Congratulations on the successful conclusion of the URA x PolyU Igniting Social Innovation Competition 2026! As a supporting organisation, Esri China (Hong Kong) is pleased to help nurture young GIS talent throughout the Competition by providing access to ArcGIS Online and practical GIS workshops, enabling students to apply GIS and spatial data analysis skills to explore real-world urban renewal challenges. At the Award Presentation Ceremony, Sr Prof Paul Tsui, CEO of Esri China (Hong Kong), presented awards to outstanding student teams and celebrated their achievements.
