本司很榮幸與香港大學商務學院合作企業顧問實習計畫，一班優秀的內地港大留學生成立顧問公司 P&C Consulting 為本司作商業研究。

About BCP

This is a 6-credit experiential learning course (a free-elective course for students in Faculty of Business and Economics) in summer (June 3 – July 21, 2014).

We aim to offer students the hands-on experience of working with business clients in solving “real-life” problems related to their studies. Students who have completed the practicum will gain valuable business experience to complement their academic learning and enhance their employability.

Students will participate as teams of independent consultants, under the guidance of the faculty teacher, Consultant-in-Residence and professional mentors, to work on real-life projects such as feasibility studies, business plans, market research, branding strategies, accounting and information systems design and implementation, etc.

Business clients will be mostly, if not all, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and social enterprises in Hong Kong. Students will interact with the executives or owners of these enterprises while providing a free business consulting service to them.

Doors never get any credit these days. How often do you think about your doors?

We love doors. We want you to love doors too, or at least appreciate them. That’s why we created a list of 10 FASTS U did NOT KNOW about Doors!

1. C.G Johnson invented the overhead door in 1921. Just 5 years later he created the first automatic garage door.

2. Many church doors are painted red, especially in Philadelphia. This is because of pass over and it is a sign of sanctuary and safety.

3. Many doors in Ireland are very colorful. This is because when Queen Victoria died the Irish were ordered to paint their doors black as a sign of mourning. To rebel, they painted their doors in all different colors.

4. The most ancient doors known date back to ancient Egypt. Doors were simple then and were primarily a slab of wood with hinges.

5. The door symbolizes hope, opportunity, communication and liberation.

6. In a dream a door may represent a new opening in your waking life. A locked door could mean missed opportunities.

7. The band The Doors got their name from a book by Aldous Huxley, The Doors of Perception.

8. A false door is a door that leads to nowhere. In ancient Egypt these doors were known as the doors to the afterlife.

9. In ancient Rome it was common to put an image of a phallus over the front door for wealth, fertility and wellbeing.

10. In the art of Feng Shui, having an open, clean and clear pathway to the door is very important for the harmonious flow of energy.

夢想的起點
—— 我們與P&C Consulting
“最初想做諮詢是因為可以跟不同的人聊天，瞭解不同人的需要，幫他們解決問題”P&C的IT Manager, 港大二年級學生， Aslan分享到，“之後Angela，Sally同Joyee過來問我同Fara，暑假有沒有興趣一起做港大商學院的Consulting Project。我想，通過這個Project，我繼有機會接觸實際Industry的客戶，又能得到學院教授的指導，就決定同一班好友報名，好好把握這次難得的機會。”

P&C, 代表專業（professionalism）諮詢（ consulting）團隊（group）, 也代表我們以嚴格的標準來要求自己。沒接觸諮詢行業之前，我們都覺得這是個十分刺激的行業：時刻準備著為客戶解決難題。經過學院一周密集的培訓之後，我們更深入地理解到諮詢是一個對人的各方面質素都有高要求的行業。專業的consultant不僅要熟練掌握各種諮詢分析模型、瞭解不同行業的運營模式，更要懂得與人有效溝通的技巧。對於我們這些還僅踏步在課堂的大學生，想要成爲專業的consultant、並得到來自企業的認可，確實是個不小的挑戰。

“不得不說，在做諮詢的時候我邁出了很多人生的第一次”P&C的marketing manager, Fara興奮地講到，“第一次給建築學院的教授發cold email，第一次找工程師請求採訪。很多時候發十幾封郵件都沒有人理，但當最後早上7點起床查看郵件發現有教授回復的時候，我興奮地要從床上蹦起來。我非常享受這種跳出自己的comfortable zone，靠自己的努力達成目標的成就感”。

做consutling的過程真的是充滿曲折： 怎樣滿足客戶的需要，怎樣讓客戶outperform industry，怎樣有效地説服客戶信服我們的proposal，這些難題都曾困擾過我們。但我們沒有氣餒過，而是堅持在學習中積累經驗。“consulting不僅是為客戶explore新的可能，更是explore自己的無限潛能”P&C的Managers都有這樣的體會。

當然，更多記錄這一切的，可能是港大24小時通宵自習室裡我們爭辯面紅耳赤的樣子，可能是K.K.Leung 二樓自習室半夜昏黃燈光下一群人仍然伏案而坐的身影，更可能是手拿proposal去見客戶忐忑不安的心情。我們整個團隊一直都在為變成professional consultants而不斷提升自己。

跳出原有的校園活動區域和人際關係，真正直面社會，港大的consulting project以及同發號建築材料公司給了我們一個很好的開始，也讓我們在整個過程中不斷探索自身，更教會我們懂得：做項目、做人都是一個道理——用心專業，誠心相待。

Another good chance of learning! This time, we were very lucky to have the opportunity to sit in TFH‘s CRM meeting! CRM refers to the processes implemented to manage a company's interactions with customers and prospects. A good CRM system helps the company to better organize its customers’ information and is of great help with the company’s after-sale service. By cooperating with ERP, which focuses on internal management, CRM enables the company to become more efficient. Today, we also gathered opinions from TFH’s sales team. We have learned that implementing a new management system really needs a lot of work!
