🇭🇺 Director of RACVIAC, Ambassador Miroslav Šćepanović, paid his first official visit to Hungary since taking office in May 2026.

On the sidelines of the Open Skies Treaty Aerial Observation Course, Ambassador Šćepanović held separate meetings with Mr. Krisztián Mészáros, State Secretary for Multilateral Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, and Mr. Attila Elek Varga, State Secretary for Defence Policy at the Ministry of Defence of Hungary.

✈️ RACVIAC launches Open Skies Treaty Aerial Observation Course in Hungary

The Course combines theoretical instruction on the Open Skies Treaty with practical training in conducting aerial observation flights using Romania’s AN-30 aircraft. It is made possible through the contributions of Hungary, Romania and Austria, alongside a multinational team of speakers and instructors from Hungary, Romania, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Greece.

Our long-standing academic partner, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗰 of the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb, has returned to RACVIAC, this time facilitating discussions at the Resilience and Protection of Critical Infrastructure Seminar, currently taking place at RACVIAC.
In addition to Prof. Mikac, the seminar featured presentations by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁 Ç𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗮 of Kadir Has University, Istanbul, and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗸, President of the Management Board of KONČAR, bringing academic and industry perspectives to the discussion.
The programme also included presentations by participating countries on their national frameworks and approaches to critical infrastructure protection.

MAJ Elton Kalo, RACVIAC Planning and Liaison Officer for South-East Europe Countries represented RACVIAC in the 56th Politico-Military Steering Committee of the Multinational Peace Force South-Eastern Europe (PMSC/MPFSEE) Meeting and the 55th South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial Coordination Committee (SEDM-CC) Meeting, held in Corfu, Hellenic Republic.

Ambassador Miroslav Šćepanović, RACVIAC Director, is currently on his first official visit to the Republic of Serbia since taking office.
Yesterday, he visited the Institute for International Politics and Economics (IIPE) in Belgrade. Today, the visit continues with further engagements in Belgrade.

LTC Olov Kesselmark, Commandant of the Nordic Centre for Gender in Military Operations (NCGM), will join us at RACVIAC on Thursday for the closing of the Gender Training of Trainers (GToT) 2026 Course.
